When he didn't change it round and bring on an extra defender near the end until Hall in the last few minutes? I know I did, particularly when Chopra came on. "Why on earth are you bringing on Agyman and Clarke?" I was shouting (or words to that effect). But have to hand it to Warno, he had faith in Connolly and Gorks to handle the three man central attack and against a Premier League standard strike force they stood firm. Tabs will win all the plaudits and lots of snide people say "without Tabs we would be an average team" etc but what they ignore and what isn't given full credit is that our defence is awesome. Also thought Clint Hill was massive today - I know he has his critics but won some very important tackles and headers.

I think they said that because of his assists+goals that brought many points this season because people when they read the news/highlights they check who scores/assists the goals and not the full reports! but many will know that we play as a TEAM and each player is doing what he is best at, and thats Warnocks tactics, brought good players in each position, great GK , great defenders and fabulous DMs that let the AMs and STs do their jobs, Adel, makie etc they try what they are best at, knowing that they trust their DMs and defenders if they loose the ball and vice versa, warnocks knows that we would score at least 1 or 2 goals if not more with all our tries, 30% success from shooting is more than enough when you have a good DM& Defenders/GK.
we have a really a good squad, when I compare it with the one we had 2 years ago I just laugh, it was miserable !

Cardiff by then had about 6 upfront, against our very resolute defence and two brilliant holding midfielders.
Their defence and midfield was understrength, with lots of gaps appearing -- think NW saw the opportunity for scoring another goal on the break, maybe?
Very nearly did, as well.
