  • Up front today

I've given Hulse some stick and have been among those calling for Helguson to be brought back but have to say after an excellent game against Preston last Saturday he was really powerful today and won everything in the air. If he could turn a little quicker than oil tanker and get into a few more dangerous positions he could bag a hat-full. My frustration was we had nobody to run on to all the excellent flick ons that Hulse won. I actually think we look far better when we play it on the ground and we should have the confidence to do so because then we look better than Cardiff and everyone else in this division. But when we go for route one there isn't much point Hulse winning flick ons if we don't have a Simson type player to run onto them. I don't know what Mackie was doing today other than hiding on the wing. Smith, however was excellent - oh for a clinical striker to feed off the brilliant service our fantastically talented team is now delivering.

I agree with a lot of that - we have a great midfield, but need a better goal poacher...not sure I think Hulse won everything in the air though.

          No need to apologise.
Most fans who went today saw him bring a lot to our team, have a good game. And so did our manager.
He singled Hulse out in every interview he gave.

Hulse did well today, and he'll only get better. He will be fine.
          And so will we.

          Sorry.

When players are recovering from fairly serious injuries it takes them time to get back to the heights they were at before they got injured. Hulse is on his way back and proved today what an asset he is and will be. On today's showing I'd take him over Bothroyd.

Whoah, you type in an Irish accent?!

You watched it on your laptop.... so we didn't watch the same game... it's not the same.

Example: The way he constantly drew other defenders in to make space for Taarabt and the others to bomb on... it really helps.

Look... not digging you out. I've seen every game. You have your views from afar, via a laptop.

                  Fair enough.

"I thought Jamie Mackie, Tommy Smith and Rob Hulse were excellent," he said. "Rob was absolutely magnificent. He won nearly every header and dominated the game for us."

I fully believe in Neil Warnock, so if its good enough for him Its good enough for me, however as a fan I too thought Hulse was poor today, but as Goddard points out that was via a PC.
He does seem a handful but I don't think he is going to bang in the goals. I, like Rebel R and probably 90% of Ranger Fans , would love us to sign a player that knows exactly where the goal is.

I think we should leave that to Dot.Org, I much prefer a debate rather than a grammar competition.

But all I'm saying is that Hulse did well today, and had a good game... and I'll defend him.

                            That's all.

Yeah Hulse had his best game for us today, hold up play was excellent! He's never been a 20 a season man but think he will start to score more.
