Exclusive: Palace chase Nouble and Rowlands

    George BurleyBy Daniel Jones

CRYSTAL Palace are trying to tie up short-term deals for West Ham striker Frank Nouble and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Martin Rowlands before this evening’s deadline.

The cut off point for Football League clubs to sign emergency loans is 5pm today, with manager George Burley working overtime to get players in to strengthen his squad.

And sources have confirmed to the Advertiser that the players he is after are Nouble and Rowlands.
    They seek him here.................

Seeing as we let Legs go, I doubt we will let Rowlands go aswell.

Although he could do with the match time that he would get there, but I dont think we have enough numbers in CM to let him leave on loan.

Been told he is off in January as not in plans - shame as a great servant & player for us over the years - hence the extra waving goodbye and badge kissing at the end of the last game that i noticed. Hope im wrong???

so if he is off surely there must be replacements in line as you say not enough cover??
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

        Watson on his way down.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

That would be ideal but Walk was saying no one is coming in till January. Not sure what substance there is to the Watson thing.

Think a dream is precisely what it is. If we missed out on Ambrose because we wouldn't pay a thousand a week more in wages and he was available then for £750k I just can't see the club now turning round and saying "OK, we'll give you £1.5 or £2m" or whatever it is Palace would demand for him in January when they are not under financial pressure and he is under a long contract. Makes no sense.

yeah i know your right mate, but id love to trade in rowly for the new improved version.
would really be like supporting a big club going forward for the first time in my life.

Don't be too negative, we are going to make a push this season and come january we are going to strenghen, its just Rowlands/Leighterwood and the other player do not have a future anymore, we need to off load before we can add, so there will be players leaving. A loan is coming in tonight.
