  • Roman Bednar

    Signs for Leicester on loan.

I thought he would of been a very useful addition to our forward line.

"Bednar's arrival will add increase speculation that striker Matt Fryatt is set to leave.

Fryatt's chances have been limited since Nigel Pearson left the club in the summer and he has been linked with both Pearson's new club Hull and Reading."

    And hopefully us.

Leicester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has signed West Bromwich Albion striker Roman Bednar on loan until January.

Bednar, who was also wanted by Hull City, has fallen out of favour at the Hawthorns this term, making just three appearances in the Premier League.

The Czech Republic international, 27, scored 30 goals in 85 games for the Baggies having joined for £2.3m in June 2008 after a successful loan spell.

He becomes Eriksson's fifth signing since he took over in October.

Arubably he is no different to what Hulse and Helguson offers us although some will say he is better in front of goal. What we need is a pacey striker rather than another big man.

Our loan player from last year jay Simpson seems to be struggling at Hull. Not scored yet and not getting picked regularly either.
Just wondered if NW could do something with this quick but often lazy ex-Arsenal accademy player? His value must of decreased substantially

Don't think NW fancies him at all & I tend to agree with him tbh. He was good for us but no better than what we have now imo. His stint at Hull says it all, he's gone stale.
