Agreed but where and in whom do you play him?

Arguably he could play either the Faurlin or the Taraabt role but I doubt he'll be picked ahead of either.

But will give him the benifit lot of crap going on when he was here last season
He was woeful towards the end of his loan and just didn't look interested, but while I don't defend that attitude the club was a complete circus at that time. He actually started off his loan really well - was brilliant up at Newcastle for instance.

Agreed. As soon as Mahon got injured he was pushed into playing the DM role and looked out of his depth but whilst he was a CM or even playing slightly further upfront I thought he looked good for us.

If we did sign him my hunch would be he would replace Derry, but rather than sitting in front of the back four he would be given license to be a bit more box to box, perhaps with Faurlin being more anchored. Another option would be to put Tabs and Smith on the wing and Watson in the hole. In any event it would be a nice problem for the manager to have.

Watson at Newcastle away was immense. If he can teach that level we have a match winner, but adel and ally are the best in the division at what they do!

            Exciting times!

Watson has been playing for Wigan Reserves.

Played against Man Utd 2nd Team on 18th November.
Was Unused sub for 1st Team against Man Utd on Saturday.

                Checkout the Wigan website.

Looks like he's surplus to requirements there.

Spot on mate. Totally agree. The same people who moaned about Watson were probably the one's getting on HH's back. Watsons a very good Championship player but I would question if he could make the step up and be consistent in the Premiership?

I'd be dead happy with that

Watson is rubbish. Did nothing here, does nothing at Wigan, won't do anything in the future. He had a short patch of good games which hid the true donkey that he is.

I thought I'd get the ball rolling on slamming players who haven't been given a chance or who are written off on a whim.

Well hopefully if he comes he'll do well for us, I see him very much in the Rowlands role but who knows
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles
