  • We were defensively lucky against Preston

I thought the back four were a bit of a shambles, obviously there was no understanding between gorkss and hall, connolly was out on a limb in midfield, and I thought he was pretty anonymous, not his fault, not his position.

Walker was too forward too often, and a couple of times had to sprint back about 80 mts a couple of times to rescue the situation on the flank. And in the 2nd half there were a few times when we had 5 - 6 players stranded upfield when PNE broke quickly.

A 1-0 lead was definitely shaky until we scored again, could have came a bit unstuck and finished with a draw. On our corners nobody seemed to know who should have been marking who on the halfway line. overall nervy to say the least .

complacency-wise yesterday, exactly. We need a better backup than hall.

Preston were lucky to score, I think they had one chance all game, that I can think of anyway
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

was a patched up side against the worst team in the division.
normal service will be resumed next week from the best defence in the division by a country mile .
im not a happy clapper but this is just silly and pointless moaning for nothing to me.
              our defence is breathtakingly good.

didnt expect preston to cause trouble for our backline.. and in all honesty only thing i saw that you've wrote was connolly in midfield. aside that they dealt with preston without fuss.. i mean i dont remember any shots or gasping moments..
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Yea they had 1 or 2 chances besides the O.G. Other than that we contained them very well.

No need for a thread at all to be honest. Best defence in the country.

                  Nuff said.

I think preston were a tad lucky they didn't go away with a 7-1 mauling.
                      They seek him here.................

I agree with all that except for Walker being too far forward. He was one of only a few players yesterday who attacking wise offered quality. Love the guy and hope we can sign him up. Hall was dire imo and needs to get his act together if he wants to play again

                          Just my view
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

If anyone's goal led a charmed life, it was Preston's, especially in the second half.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
