And then walk out the ground and listen to other fans views. Common, local rangers fans are being replaced with ponces and posh boys.

It's no wonder the atmosphere lacks.. And it's all down the ticket prices.
Thats a good point, no longer a working mans game

How long have you been going? It is no different to 20 years ago.

And to say are "local" fans are being replaced by ponces and posh boys is ridiculous. If we had local support we would all be talking a different language and I haven't seen any "posh" boys at the ground.

The change I've noticed for sure is long-standing, passionate fans, who WOULD make a noise, being priced out and replaced by newcomers, who don't make a noise.
Not local being replaced by posh as such, but a definite change which has affected atmosphere.
Along with the much-stated turning of the Loft into the family area.

That is a serious issue IMHO.

oh give it a rest and get used to it, unfortunately u will find this a trend happening with most not all clubs but most. why? well we cant stand up, there is plenty of families and women who dont sing or make any noise, likewise little kids cant be heard. also the price of tickets nowadays in football attracts the slightly more well off who perhaps dont want to shout or sing. considering the size of old trafford and the fact they are nearly always at the top of the league dont u think aside from playing derby games they are pretty quiet, same goes with chelsea and ive been to man city 3 times this season, and sometimes u can hear a pin drop. after every game someone comes on here with the "amosphere was not very good" etc, tell u what why dont u get real and expect the atmosphere not to be great and when it is a really exciting or a huge game and the atmosphere is great, comment then! simples

It would be nice to have an atmosphere like league 1 playoff semi-final vs oldham every week.......reading recently was great after sending off.....but hey we're top of the league, there seem to be more families there nowadays which is great, so in scheme of thinks it would be nice but it certainly isn't going to keep me up at night unlike some of you!

Thanks for wording my point a bit better.

The atmosphere when we won promotion from league 1 was brilliant compared to this season. The pricing is much different. It has to be the main reason IMO.

I think it all depends on the oppositions fans too, Preston only brought a handful. Apart from the usual 'Yellow' and the 'PNE' thats all they could muster. They gave Paddy some stick and I saw him turn round after the 3rd goal rub his crutch towards them

13,500 isn't a ggod crowd but hey those that don't go are missing a part of our history in the making.

im sure there will be a noise next week against Cardiff, sometimes i think all the fans are so nervous because of the position we are in it creates a lot of tension

Totally agree. Unchartered territory for us (except for those upper class ponses and those other fans who were't here in the real days)

The atmosphere changed for the worst with the introduction of gold, silver, bronze etc.

When I stood in the lower loft all those years ago the atmosphere was electric every game. Problem is now all the singers are spread all over the ground in pockets of 10-20 or so,and in some cases less. If all the singers were able to congregate in the lower loft and relocate the family area back to its original place in Ellserlie rd the atmosphere would return. Make the lower loft one price - bronze and the upper loft silver and listern to the change!

These days if you start a song most people around you look at you in total disgust.

The acoustics are best in the lower loft and lower school end.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

And re name the blocks around the ground and those in the loft to Q P and R.

When we used to get a corner it would always be "come on you r's" that rarely gets an airing.
