Is it just me or did anyone else think that Preston's pocket battleship had a great game.Their No.16 didn't stop all afternoon. At just 5'7" he outjumped Gorkss and Connely a couple of times and made a real nuisance of himself. He's a Canadian international and at 27,has a reasonable scoring record. He's currently on loan from Barnsley. His speed tenacity and work ethic was first rate imho, and I wouldn't mind him in our squad on yesterdays performance to be honest.

I thought he was their only real threat.
Their loan players are potentially good, but need time to bed down.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I thought the Hume at Barnsley was the guy with the mhassive head scar from Sheff Utd Morgan's GBH challenge a couple of years ago.

If so,. I thought he was MUCH taller than the guys who starred for Preston on Saturday.

Or am I getting confused ?

Hes on loan from Barnlsey,Preston was warming up in front of the Paddocks and his scar is immense, how Morgan wasn't prosecuted for that is beyond me.

Absolutely criminal challenge, and should have resulted in criminal proceedings IMO.

Thanks for clearing that up, although I still recall him being taller and more of a striker before.

Mind you 'Loftboy', how did you see the scar from the paddocks ? Did you have binoculars or was you on a surveylance mission ?

When the players were warming up at 2:15 ish they were running about right next to the West Paddock where I was stood with my kids,at one point he was only a couple of feet away, very nasty wound.

I chose my username in 1997 on the original rivals site, used it everywhere since except 606 as someone else uses it,believe it or not since my first game in the seventies I have only been in the loft 3 times,so I don't know why I actually use it!!

                        Ha Ha.

Seventies was my 1st visit also. January 1970 to be precise, South Shields in the Cup 4-0, Marsh with a brace.

Spent most of the next 15 years in The Loft, then about 10 years in the Paddock alongside "The Bank of Autensi" (you had to be there !).
Now back in The Loft (Upper) since about 1995 when my Son started coming.

There was a couple of fleeting visits to Ellerslie in that time, after the Fulham Park Rangers pitch invasion (why go back and stand in the paddocks when there's a seat over there ?) and for Tricky Trev's goal of the decade V Barnsley in the FA Cup (also No Neck Impey's Haymaker from the same game).

Last but not least, I watched us from the School End late Seventies when Home support switched whilst rebuilding The Loft - 1979 ish ?

So I've covered all sides over the years.

Hume was like Jamie Mackie on speed, but his team mates let him down.

He really impressed me, great work rate and their only threat. Never stopped running. If there is 1 player who should wear a head guard it's him after awful challenge by Morgan the **** but no it's cech still. Noticed chivu wears one too for inter Milan but I never saw the challenge on him that led to that
