Before I start this is not aimed at Neil because I think he is doing a fantastic job with what he has got but why has no manager in at least the last five years not recognised we need decent strikers.when at sheff utd Neil bought strikers like they were going out of fashion and even back to ollie this man found Ellington Roberts cureton hayles while at Bristol rovers I just can't see why we don't take a punt on someone like le fondre or Austin because there both young and have time to develop I mean the greatest striker in my life was sir les and we picked him from non league it's time we started taking a few punts and we might find a few gems .

I think it's as simple as the fact that the board, despite their wealth, hate spending money on players. To be fair we have picked up a few bargains, but I agree one quality (expensive) striker would make all the difference.
Thinking ahead, if we do go up, they are going to need a totally different mindset if they want to avoid immediate relegation the following year.
