If the above was X factor it would seem to be a play off between Vine and Clarke.

That'd be Vine for another week at least then.

No problems with threads like this as long as the people understand that if we do let the likes Hall and Borrowdale go then with Ramage out and suspensions likely to happen they will need to be replaced and can't moan if we do sign replacements.

"Why are we signing a left back when we need to buy a bloody striker?"

it'd be great to get rid aggy, legs, hall, vine, clarke, borrowdale but they are on money not many if any championship clubs could afford so i wouldn't imagine too bids maybe out on loan if we're lucky.german, balanta, rose and parker can go too but not sure we'd get too much for them...the 2 young lads at swindon and the young un at tranmere jennings would be good january signings

            Vine
            Balanta
            Pellicori
            Cook
            Clarke

Think we can lose these and not consider the squad as weakened.Players like Borrowdale,Hall,Ramage etc. are needed as we have no other cover.

Take Sir Pie's point but if we do seriously think we are going to get promoted then we need to think about, to give one example, a new left back with Hill then becoming the reserve and Borrowdale shipped out. Its no point replacing dead wood with dying wood, it needs to be with players better than we have in that position at the club. The only exception to that is if we bring in a cheap youngster or two who we can take a bit of a gamble on for the future.
