What is the correct way to celebrate a QPR goal when you're watching it at home?
Should you act differently than to how you would if you were at the match? In that split second when you realise the ball has gone past the keeper's hand and it's destined for the empty net, do you have time to consider your surroundings and act accordingly? Or do you just lose the plot and jump and scream around the living room - resulting in the two cats shitting themselves and your girlfriend/wife giving you that face that you just don't want to see?
One reason is because she believes that football means more to me than she does. While it's certainly a tough one, I actually believe that she is ultimately more important to me. But she has to realise that she can't generate the same kind of excitement and emotion that QPR can generate.
It's got me wondering if a lot of people suffer the same treatment from their girlfriends or wives. I'm pretty certain they do. ? I would imagine a lot of people do what I do… start by jumping off the couch, shouting "yes, get in there" !!
Obviously, neighbours can hear the celebrations. But I don't think it's offensive!! Freaking out in your living room seems normal to yourself at the time, but what is it like to an outsider? Should I try and grow up or do others act in the same way?
Have to say I screamed at the box When Sunderland kept scoring against Chelsea too!!
