What do you mean by fox in the box? If it's the shorter speedier type then Chelsea don't have one.

If it's about having a goal scorer who play upfront then arguably we have two but both are either injured or out of form.

I don't think you need a quicker smaller striker to acheive success... but I do think it's a very good option to have for certain games, at certain times. And I think it's one that we lack.
A bit like Thorpe and Cureton were when we went up a few years back.
Very handy they were on the run in.

The problem with some of the names mentioned is that they would not be guaranteed a start every week, because of the formation we play. (3 attacking midfielders off a single "hold up" CF)

But someone like Charlie Austin, LeFondre, Aaron McClean, Danny Graham are realistic players, at realistic clubs to raid, who would (I suspect) be more content to wait their time and be used sparingly at a top of the table team... more than someone like Jason Roberts would. Or Bednar. Or J. E. Thomas.

Roberts is angry he's not starting in The Prem, so how would he react to not starting every game in a division lower?

Me?? I'd go for McClean or Graham.
Either would be realistic to attract to QPR, and very handy to have.

Roberts has been playing - and scoring - for Blackburn lately so I think those (not Goddard) who continue to suggest we could realistically sign him need to think again or we really will be labelled fantasy island. But agree there is no shortage of alternatives - just, it seems, a shortage of cash.

Always find you a very good poster but I can't understand why you see a player like McClean as a player that would contribute to a team pushing for premiership football. I did think at one time he would be a good signing at 1 point. When they played us he scored a very good header so this season I have been looking out and I thought he would rip league 1 defenders apart. He has however only scored 6 goals in 16 games and at that standard I feel thats a poor return. Roberts would come back to London but I don't see us paying 30k a week in wages. Shame as he would be brilliant and I would have no doubt in my mind he would fire us to win the league. Ok injurys are always a worry but you have to take that gamble with most players.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

A goal every other game for a mainly pony team over the years.

Quick, strong as an ox, sharp, Hammersmith boy.

But above all, he's the brother of the legend that is Bitty McClean... I think that nails it for all true music lovers.
Move over Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley, your crown has slipped.

              Latest,just after 9pm this evening (Vital football/NewsNowQPR

              QPR Chasing Arsenal Youngster?

Versatile youngster Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is reportedly on Neil Warnock's wish-list, if the tabloids are to be believed.

The Daily Mail are among others suggesting that QPR are in a tussle with Ipswich Town for the signature of the highly-rated Arsenal youngster.

Emmanuel-Thomas, who can play just about anywhere on the field, has been primarily plying his trade as a striker for Arsene Wenger at youth level, and has broken through to make one senior start.

With first team appearances at a minimum Wenger is reportedly looking to blood the youngster on loan - as he did with Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers last season.

Roy Keane at Ipswich is keen to recruit the talent with QPR reportedly tracking his progress. Time will tell how much substance there is to this latest rumour.

Would you be prepared to put you're money where you're mouth is?

I bet Mackie will get at least 6 more this season.

What's it to be? £100 £200 or how about we make this interesting & make it a monkey?

It was an opinion , not something I have started a thread on and banged about for weeks.

After his 8 goals in 8 games earlier in the season, that freak event could happen again and it would be silly of me to bet 500 jibs really.

I just reckon he will get around 5 more goals, thats all
No need to give it Larry large ones on here

" I'll bring my money on Saturday blah blah"

I just gave my thoughts on how many goals I thought he would get.

Ric Roc if you go around offering everyone odds on their opinions , you may find that you loose your money very quickly; my only bit of advice for you mate.

Statement from jeffro "100% agree, Mackie will get 5 goals max"

Why would I not want to test you're resolve after such a pathetic statement?

You like to think you are mr know it all on here so I simply challenged you along with Del Trotter also to put you're money where you're mouth is. You declined says it all really.

If you knew anything about me you would know I'm not a gambler but that bet would be like taking candy from a baby.

Yea I could bring my stake money today if you wanted what's larry large about that? I was eager to put you're statement to the test.

Never mind I will keep an eye out for the next silly thing for you to come out with.

Don't think I'll be waiting long....
