  • I ask this question

Does it bother you that fans have been spun another load of BS by the club regarding Mittal's and takeovers/shares etc, and that Flav and Bernie are actually in charge,

    or

can you look past that due to our league positioning?

FAr as I was concerned, Amit, and Ishan ran things, Mittal's had a controlling interest and Flavio and Bernie were smaller % holders's. Obviously this isnt true.

It's hard to take Jeffro IMHO.

Amit's interviews always came across as genuine but he is just telling us the fans what we want to hear.

His love of football isn't what he pretends. Against Burnley he was very late back to his seat after half time and he left with 15mins to go. I actually give Ishan more credit for sitting through the entire bore fest.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

This is it Weare, these genuine "Fans People" made a big song and dance about taking over, Albeit they never said Flav had gone but to now 8 months down the line find out that we are still being run , financed and owned by Flav and Bernie , stinks.

Now I have no problem as if it is true and they have been paying £800,000 a month to keep us going from their own pockets ( As we know the club doesnt generate that kind of money) then I dont blame them for now piping up and letting the fans and public know that THEY run things.

What has wound me up is that what does Amit and Mittal actually do then??
And why were we told that the Mittals had bought out a controoling stake in the club??

        Same old spin and $hit.

In short, I really couldn't care less

1 - We have a team full of players that the club has now invested in.
2 - We have a great manager who is being left alone to run things on the pitch
3 - We are in the top two and have not lost a game this season

Things are going great AT LAST, so as longs as it doesn't affect the team on the field, the board room merry go round can stay in the board room

I care actually Dan as I dont really want to see my team end up like Portsmouth, or knowing us Luton.

Jeffro, it is a relevant/fair question. Yes, its fair to say we were all thought Mittal owned the majority, though questions were asked at the time on how much.

Personally, thought it came to a point where the club decided upstairs to change things around which they did do. Guess, Flavio always wanted to sell and thought Mittal would come up trumps, turns our Bernie did. It should not be a question of personalities, just because someone comes across better in front of camera

It was obvious last January very little money was being invested borne by the fact we had so many loan players.

This season the club is being run professionally and 2nd an unbeaten after 17 games, many would have bitten your arm off. When things go well on the pitch, think many are not that bothered. When we lose, we all find excuses.

Doesn't bother me at all Jeffro. Mainly due to the fact that I cannot recall the club ever saying that Mittal and his family ever had a controlling interest.

I could be wrong of course, but I expect that it was more of an assumption made by virtue of the fact that he did buy a larger stake (although nobody ever told us how much larger) and the fact that Ishan Saksena was appointed chairman.

I do not think the club have lied to anybody, rather that they keep these matter to themselves. Whether or not they should, as football is slightly different to most other businesses is another matter. When you think about it, most journalists make up what they want to write anyway so I for one would not take newspaper talk too seriously and never more seriously than a club statement.

Long term the future of this club should be safe under Bernie and he will find a way to cover these costs.

F1 season is over and it's going to be interesting who comes in as sponsors.

I can see where Jeffro is coming from because it is ok at the minute when we are doing well, but what if we dont go up this year and have a bad season next year? Back to square one and then will BE and FB still pump money into the club? If they dont we could be up s hit creek without a paddle. Never mind Pompey, Leeds etc it could be curtains for us. Yes i know thats a bit drastick but it COULD happen.
And the club have lied to us a wee bit, otherwise why would everyone believe that it was the Mittals running the club? They made a big show of 'we are running the club properly now' and all that b ollox, when it turns out they wern't.

Its very disappointing as I think two of the main things we all wanted/needed was STABILITY and TRANSPARENCY at QPR and it seems that yet again this isn't what we have.

I don't think this is worth blowing up into a big thing, with things on the pitch going so well any ill feeling that gets transferred to the players can only have a detrimental effect and that’s the last thing that we need… Especially as the Premiership now seems to be much more than just a distant dream.

That being said, it would appear that the "Mittals" certainly aren't anywhere near as interested as we may have thought they were.

Whilst I'm delighted with Warnock at the helm and the new setup since our overly hyped 'takeover' last season... The thought of having the club in the hands of Bernie Ecclestone doesn't really fill me with much optimism/hope.

His interviews to the press (yep, I know they are/were tongue in cheek) is pretty horrific reading in all honesty. I don't see Ecclestone as being one to dip his hand into the pocket as and when it may be needed... and for all the talk about us being top of the league/unbeaten etc, we still have spent relatively little money on transfers - even compared to other Championship clubs.

Because they chose to believe it Dave.

Without wishing to sound condescending, there is a big difference between owning a business and running it on a day to day basis.

Everything looks just fine to me at the moment, with the obvious exception of the level of debt. We'll just have to trust and hope on that point though, won't we, as there is sod all any of us can do about it.

The question is what will happen if we fail to get promoted this season. Will the board still stay interested in our club?

                              My view only.
