Ok lets just run you through a few odds for the championship title.

QPR are favourites but its now a very tight run thing.

We have QPR at quite a tight price of 7/4 and Cardiff are 2nd fav at 15/8

Looking at the way the sides are playing I think that makes for interesting reading. Cardiff are a decent price but I think the bookies still believe we will spend big in Jan so are staying rather cautious with regards to the rangers.

Swansea come in at 3rd fav at 15/2, I don't see them winning the league and I think this reflects in the odds.

Outsiders well who would you put into the mix? A side that have had an incredible run but all of a sudden they have only got 1 point from 3 games in Pompey? You will get 40-1 for Pompey to win the league. I still think it will be between us and Cardiff and the bookies agree.

If you really want value for money then I would tip Doncaster who have been playing very good football and they really impressed me at LR. They have a very good manager and r now starting to find some consistancy. If they beat Swansea on sat then they are really in the mix and if you choose them now you can get as big as 66/1 so I see them being the value bet.

In the real world I would never bet against rangers so I won't be doing this. However if you fancy a flutter to win then I suggest you lump heavy on Cardiff and use Donny for a few quid as a cover bet.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I would not bet on the championship until after the christmas period, but for value I would look outside the top two, if I was neutral.

Burnley and even Portsmouth would be my each way bets. From an outsiders point of view, Cardiff have been in this position before and failed and its the first time we have been in this position. Not saying we won't make it, but as betting propostions better value elsewhere.

Pete sensible, but like you said we aren't neutrals and for that reason I won't bet. QPR to gain promotion means the world but I don't see our odds of 7/4 to have any kind of value. Hope I am wrong but top 2 will do lets not be too greedy although I would love to see us lift the title. I think Pompey each way is a decent bet and maybe donny will suprise a few.

7-4 is a crazy price to be honest. Don't think any QPR fan would hump on that.

I got 15-2 pre-season on a £20 bet for us, which was value.

thats a decent bet at 15-2. I'll be honest I thought with the players we were signing we wouldn't be up there so I doubt I would of taken 10-1 back then. Still got to be honest and I am pleased to be proven wrong.

That's not great odds Pete thats dreadful. 15/2 was poor value considering what was out there. Up to 3 games in you could still get 14 on Betfair for us to win the league which has since greatly reduced. I got on us to win and e/w and have since sold when we were 7 points clear for guaranteed promotion at 1.27

Cardiff will fall away after xmas, mark my words. Yeah they score goals but they also have a leaky defence. When Jay drops his bombshell people will see that they aren't really that special. We're bound to lose a few somewhere along the lines but we'll still be in the mix given our points tally and I doubt Warnock will allow us slide. Of all the teams in the division I think the board will back him in January too more than any other side in the Championship. I also agree with your value comments Pete. I thought Burnley and Portsmouth are the most likely sides to push on too but injuries over xmas could decide a lot of teams fate.

betfair sounds decent. I use william hill who are decent but I think betfair are they way to go. I think Pete's a coral man.

Got £20 at 13.5's for the title, was going to sell when we got down to about 2's, but decided to keep hold of it for a bit longer - regretting that decision slightly at the moment, as we've drifted to about 3's.

still got my bet for Crawley to win the conference, and QPR with a handicap to win the league - hoping to pay for my S/T next season with the proceeds.

also got £10 on Spurs to win the title @ 50's - was planning to trade out as soon as the odds dropped, but that looks like a bit of a pipe dream at the moment!

I like the sound of selling your bet. I have not looked into this.

Is this the plus of betfair? I don't even know if I have that option.
