Not trying to put a dampner on this. Very much doubt he'd leave us considering where we are, our backers and where he could take us. West Ham are in a relegation dogfight and with their current squad I can see them being in that for the rest of the season. Neil however is an old time pro and if West Ham were interested in him the last person you'd hear talk about it is HIM. He did the same when he was at Palace regarding coming to us.

However given all the bitching he did about them I doubt Hammers fans would welcome him and he is a man of principles and I doubt he'd let himself have anything to do with them given what they got away with causing his Sheff Utd side to be relegated.

the wages would be treble and the keep them up bonus would be around five ten times what he'd get for taking us up id guess.
dont think anyone on the planet could safely say with their hand on their heart that he wouldnt go there if sullivan made a serious approach with his cheque book opened very wide.
and he would be the natural and probably first choice of manager to bring in to save them, so people saying its just lazy journalism are a bit wide of the mark as well imho.
tho, you would like to think its not money that motivates warnock at his time of life, and he will finish the job hes started here.
but, that 'one last big payday' cliche likes to rear its ugly head sometimes.

he said that at palace didnt he?

i honestly dont think he will go, cos hes a really top bloke but if offered i reckon 80% of managers would change for better pay and a higher league.

Yes and once they have survived they would get a more high profile manager in, i think Neil knows that, having gained his name mainly through promotion/relegation battles.

Also Tevez and Sheff Utd springs to mind, he wont touch them with a barge pole.

Are West Ham in a position to afford to pay off Grant and pay the compensation required for Neil?
As others have already said, another poor bit of journalism as the author could not find anything of value to write.
