  • Bothroyd

Would have thought his chances of leaving Cardiff in January have significantly increased with his call up to the England team. Furthermore, not sure they would be able to use the cash to buy a replacement given their debt problems.

I guess he has the option of going for free in the summer also.

Let's hope he gets injured as they are nothing without him!

To be fair Bothroyd is a Prem Class Striker. makes things happen for them not just a goalscorer too. Good for us if he leaves cardiff. But we could Buy someone else as good as him

Bothroyd not going anywhere. He is letting his contract run down. Identical situation as Beckford last autumn.

Hopefully he'll get the "international curse"..... called-up following public clamour, insipid performance and collapse in form thereafter. First noticed this phenomenon with that Ricketts fellah at Bolton several years ago and I'm currently fretting that Jamie Mackie's caught a dose.... hope I'm wrong about Jamie but it'll soften the blow if Bothroyd catches it too.

              Heard it might be Everton

Hope they don't trade Beckford though

The FA should state that if he wants to play for England he must be playing for an English side governed by the English FA (not welsh as at present), he would then have to leave (leaving Cardiff in the sh1t) and maybe he will even come to us, but I'd just be happy just if he wasn't with the taffs anymore.

Who knows he might get injured playing for England!, should he get on, WHAT A SHAME THAT WOULD BE! that would be ironic that the Taffs great hope gets injured playing for England and unable to play against us next week.

Scotland are barely playing "international" football. They turn our striker into a defender in a 10 man defence in Praque and are going to play him on his own up front against one of the worst Nations in World football.

Scotland should be playing county football now, not International.

He could get injured in training, he could get a big head but if he plays well for England, it might make him better for Cardiff, it's all speculation, the guy deserves a shot.

Not sure if 1 good season makes a guy a Premiership player!

Agreed. There is a massive difference from a player playing in the premiership and a premiership player. Blackpool have a whole squad full of players playing in the Premiership but you can probably count on one hand the number of actual premiership players they have.

                              It worked for Andy Carroll.
