One point is being missed it all of this.

I would doubt any official statement would be made, because anyone looking at Companies House records would know that Flavio/Bernie have 70% share between them, it never changed just Bernie has bought more off Flavio. Its been available for everyone to see.

This idea that Lakesmi Mittal is our saviour and always has been, is something that we are all mistaken about. Did not help the club making a statement about Mittals increasing shares, but the wording never gave any indication on how much, something which many alluded to at the time. Mittal is not really a sports person and whether we like it or not Bernie/Flavio are. No disputing that Lakesmi Mittal was expected to increase shares along with other investors like the guy from Kingfisher, but when pushed come to shove the investment was not forthcoming, which is disappointing considering how many millions the guy is worth.

If the club is owned 70% by Bernie/Flavio it would mean they are the ones who have paid the vast majority of players wages and whilst Bernie/Flavio are Public relations disaster zones, it cannot argued they have invested more than anyone into this football club.

We are top of the league and a have top manager, lets not make the mistake of letting things like this develop into name calling, because end of the day we are in a great position. We are unbeaten, yet only one defeat away from people using this an excuse.

Is that all Flavio's shares, Pete?

Am I the only one viewing this in a positive light. If the rumour is true and FB is selling his shares to BE (who is worth a considerable amount) then surely this is a step forward. We finally get rid of Briatore, and in Ecclestone we have a man who has proved to be ruthlessly successful, and givenhis tender age im sure he wont want to wait around too long for that success. Coupled with the fact that on the surface he seems to get along swimmingly with the Mittals, then all in all good times ahead!

            No, not all.

Bernie is the majority shareholder, with Flavio 20% (don't quote me), Lakeshmi 10-12% (again don't quote me), though it is on Companies House records and I only saw it once in those records in October, the rest are made up of smaller investors etc.

That all sounds dandy but isn't Bernie the one who said he doesn't care about QPR? Something about this whole sernario isn't right. Only the other day Bhatia was saying we will spend big if we get to the prem and his father in law wont settle for second. That doesn't sound like the voice of someone who only owns 12%.

I think this is one massive step back, quite frankly bernie & flav are a pair of knobs and Amit is the only one that has tried to get on with the fans.

              Something about this isn't right.

So the statement about the Mittal's increasing their shareholding was designed solely to shield Briatore from the flak flying at the time?

Reading through various posters views has actually made me think twice about my initial thoughts about this in that yes BE is a disaster with a microphone in his face but as Pete said is / has actually been bank rolling this club. Also the fact Nodge indicated their was some kind of plans regarding land in progress to which I presume BE is involved with can only be a good thing.

And Flabio will be out of the picture? Wonderful.

Ok panic over I feel ok again now.

Good News = If Flavio goes he might take the Italian waiter Lapdog with him...

Bad News = Owned by a Chelsea supporting midget who has never had a good thing to say about QPR and shows complete disinterest.

would be better if they both ****ed off tbh

                        Nodge70,

I guess you can say that, because thats the way it seems. All the soundings we got from Amit and Ishan when we had at the last "fans" meeting indicated that Flavio was taking a back seat, which he has, but in hindsight they were cagey how the shares were divided

I know the way you feel, but reality is nothing much has changed off the field in last 9 months, just Bernie now has the majority.

On the field, we have very good squad and an ecellent manager

                            soon to be major shareholder?

"Ecclestone does not exactly talk with enthusiasm about the Championship outfit. He admits he would struggle to name a player in Neil Warnock's squad, he has only been to two or three matches although might go to more this season, and his footballing allegiances lie elsewhere.

“QPR? I don't have a real passion for it at all,” he admits. “I got into it by accident. I'm a Chelsea fan. I got involved through Flavio Briatore. It's difficult not to buy into his enthusiasm for things. I took some shares, I don't care. It's just something I've done.”

His lack of footballing ambition is quite clear at QPR. When asked if he dreams of promotion to the Premier League for the club, quick as a flash, he replies: “I hope not. That's just even more aggravation.”

sounds as though he really up for it then.....

I doubt Amit supported QPR before he came to the club and not sure what team Lakesmi Mittal supports?

Bernie Ecclestone is obviously bankrolling the club, accepting Warnock's requests for players and we've signed someone today so he is getting what he wants.

Success for QPR is what concerns me, not the politics.
