One point is being missed it all of this.
I would doubt any official statement would be made, because anyone looking at Companies House records would know that Flavio/Bernie have 70% share between them, it never changed just Bernie has bought more off Flavio. Its been available for everyone to see.
This idea that Lakesmi Mittal is our saviour and always has been, is something that we are all mistaken about. Did not help the club making a statement about Mittals increasing shares, but the wording never gave any indication on how much, something which many alluded to at the time. Mittal is not really a sports person and whether we like it or not Bernie/Flavio are. No disputing that Lakesmi Mittal was expected to increase shares along with other investors like the guy from Kingfisher, but when pushed come to shove the investment was not forthcoming, which is disappointing considering how many millions the guy is worth.
If the club is owned 70% by Bernie/Flavio it would mean they are the ones who have paid the vast majority of players wages and whilst Bernie/Flavio are Public relations disaster zones, it cannot argued they have invested more than anyone into this football club.
We are top of the league and a have top manager, lets not make the mistake of letting things like this develop into name calling, because end of the day we are in a great position. We are unbeaten, yet only one defeat away from people using this an excuse.
