More importantly, for the first time in many many years QPR will be an attractive destination for any quality players looking for a move in January.
that's a good point, and guys on loan might be tempted to stay than to warm a bench somewhere else.

A good post Pete! Sometimes people can't see the trees for the forest! We're doing great, better than the most optimistic QPR fan (whoever that is) could have imagined! There have been some frustrating draws as well as some last minute positive results, a run of home wins would be nice now! Enjoy the season, so far it's one of our best in years!

Pete what a great post. Totally agree Rangers away this season are a different class to anything I've seen for many seasons. At this stage we need to be on 32 points for automatic promotion so all these draws don't concern me. We do need to push on and win a few more now and maybe with a few personnel changes due to injuries and suspensions the players coming in will try just that bit harder to cement their place.

On Tuesday as soon as Dave, Clarke etc came on you knew we would score. You could see it coming. Portsmouth could not cope with the constant onslaught and eventually caved in under the pressure. Perhaps, in games when teams are there for the taking NW should be a little more ambitious and make the changes after 70 mins and not always leave it to the last 8 - 10. I know its not pretty football but its effective. I want promotion so to put up with this style of play for 15-20mins each game don't bother me.

Yes pretty football is great to watch but its a results business, I'll take direct style football if it wins us games.

Its great being a QPR fans at the moment and we should all be proud. Its good to chat football with mates and not get the **** taken all the time!!!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Its a fair point although against Burnley it was only near the end when we started playing it on the ground that we looked any good. As you say fine to go long ball to a couple of big lumps late on but do think its our passing through the course of a game that will tend to unlock more defences.

People moan about our draws but the only time this season we have been ahead and DROPPED points was against Burnley. Our other draws were 0-0 or we came back against Derby, Bristol City, and Portsmouth so Points GAINED not Points LOST. Add the last minute winner against Palace and it all looks okay to me.
