Whatever Neil Warnock's is installing into these players, I wouldn't mind bottling it up and making a business out of it.
For a very long time, fans have travelled away only to see QPR players hide and try to make us the paying public believe they are putting everything in. Too many times, QPR players make a half hearted tackle, stop running or just cannnot be bothered. Anyone who is fortunate to be watching our team at the moment, knows that when we have our backs up against the wall, we still give it 100%. In the last 5 minutes it was Portsmouth with 11 men behind the ball and us pushing forward, this never say attitude is going to take us a long way.
One or two fans on the coach pointed to many draws, but come the end of the season those points might actually be crucial. We have gone through a hard period of games with our unbeaten records in tact. In this league make no mistake, everyone is beating everyone part from of us. Instead of the draws, I'd rather look at the late goals and the absolute commitment from all the squad to get some kind of result.
The comeback against Derby I still believe gave us the momentum to go on this unbeaten run, 2-0 down with no chance we came back to snatch a point and I believe the players from that point had a unity that simply has not been matched in many years. So many times in the past, QPR players have just turned up and apart from a two year period under Holloway we as fans had not much to crow about on the pitch in the last 15-16 years. Also, take the 2 points gained away to Crystal Palace when Helguson rose to make a brave header and now down to 10 men against a Portsmouth side who lets make no bones about if they keep the starting 11 fit will be in with a chance of automatic promotion. Many teams will go to Fratton Park and not get a sniff. Not forgetting the late goal at Leicester to win 2-0 when apparantly under the cosh for much of the game. Add to that the late goal at Bristol City, this team of players have a desire and ambition to get promoted.
All in all we should be proud to QPR fans right now, if we are not than we never will be. In order to get promoted we really need the next 16 games to accrue as many points as we have already. We will obviously lose a game, but can hoepfully turn these draws into wins. My slight concern is injuries or suspensions to key players, but I am great believer in things that even themselves throughout the season on the 10 man front and it won't be long before an opposing team get a player sent off and I would imagine with our persistance to get forward, unlike the opposing teams who have found themselves in similar positions, we will actually win the game.
I would not put it pass Warnock to get a result at Nottingham Forest and then we have two home games to supplement our position at the Top of the League.
