Didn't Mackie come from a team now midtable in League One and Derry from a side that were almost relegated? What's your point? Untill we've seen Moen play we really can't judge him.

I think if we are both honest Rosenberg are your only 'real' team that could possibily stay up in the premiership but even they don't do much when playing english sides.

Branns lost to Everton and I would say everton are only a mid table side at best.

Anyway I don't blame you for sticking up for your national league and I would ask why if you didn't. The reality is that your league is around league 1/championship level. I don't think we will sign him if I am being honest.
Brann finished in the bottom 4, and are a club in free fall just 3 years after winning the league and playing champions league(a team Vaagan Moen also was a part of). The fact that he scored 14 goals in 25 matches, from midfield, for such a poor team is quite an achievement if you ask me.

Agree with you about Rosenborg, altough they did draw at Stamford Bridge. They are the only team who would be good enough for the Premier League. Then there are 6-7 teams that would do ok in the championship. Young Morris here is talking about the conference, deluded obviously, but still that puts us in a postion when we have to stick up for our league.

The level in Norway has been poor for a few years now, still doesn't mean that we don't produce some excellent footballers. Our national team is 12th in the FIFA rankings and would beat your sorry lot(again).

When it comes to Vaagan Moen, he's no world beater but I think he'll fit in nicely in our team and system. Bet young Morris was complaining in the summer when we signed Mackie aswell. We all should have learnt from our mistakes in the summer, trust Warnock and give players a chance FFS(would save alot of egg on peoples faces)

Answer to that is I am still not convinced with Mackie.

He has started really well but its VERY early days, so lets not get carried away.

Frode very good reply and made alot of sense.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

          • Agree with Frode, well argued.

BTW also agree with W12 about not being entirely convinced with Mackie - prefer him to Hogan because at least you get 100% commitment whereas Hogan may as well be window shopping looking for curtains with all the urgency he displays. But don't think the rest of Mackie's play is so brilliant that he warrants a place in the team if his goals have dried up. And the danger is goal wise he becomes another Agyman.

Tough Crowd! I think Mackie has been fantastic and despite his goal scoring having dried up, he works his socks off and is a must for every game. What more does he have to do FFS?
