Call me simplistic if you will, but I want us to win every game we play. Plus it's not impossible for a good Championship club to have a long run in the FA Cup, or even win it. The FA cup's been devalued over the years, but it still has a lot of romance for many fans (including me) and I'd prefer to see it regain some of its lustre rather than be devalued still further. Whoever we draw there'll be plenty of our fans cheering us on and I'll be among them. I doubt there'll be any QPR fan in the ground hoping the opposition wins.

carling cup I would play all the youngsters but the FA cup should be looked upon as not a distraction but an opportunity to see how we would cope with premiership teams. If we knocked out a premiership club then that would be massive for moral soI don't see it in a negative manner but then GTP you are the king of doom and gloomI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Like I said above, Leeds knocked out Man U last season, and it completely threw them for weeks, does nobody remember that? And they had to wait until the last game to go up. The FA cup is a major distraction if you're a lower league team with other priorities. Fact.
I can still enjoy watching other teams highs and lows when it's on, the time is not right for us at the moment. 46 games is quite enough thank you. The FA cup is a dream for all, but one. Head now, heart later.Last edited by Olly; 08-11-2010, 01:49 PM.

should try and win every game.
Brings confidence and momentum. Also, the chance to get a big game - could really help lift the club even more.
Fulham played the same team nearly every game last year and had a ton of games in Europe. Many predicted them for relegation - didn't harm them hav ing cup runs.
Having said all that, I have no problem with a bit of rotation, as long as it is still a team we have confidence that can win a game.

Hopefully we get a Premiership club at home. Don't want to go and on in the CUP. Saw what it almost did to Crystal Palace last seasonALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

the most sensible answer, and a should be an option in the POLL
YES i would like to us to do well in the FA cup as i love QPR and i want us to do well in every game we play
BUT
i wouldn't be up in arms if NW were to rest some of our key players for FA cup games.
on the note of resting players, faurlin/derry/tarabt are the only ones i rest, no worries about anyone else really in terms of injuries, tiredness.
