  • What a Great Day Yesterday

Met up with a good mate in the British Prince on Goldhawk Rd and after a quick pint we went over and had some pre match Pie n Mash which was as excellent as ever and what a shame it will be if the Council gets it way and knocks it down

Walked down to the Smutts and met some good pals but funnily enough the atmosphere was a little subdued considering we were 2nd in the league but perhaps everyone was nervous that if we were to lose against Reading then we might start to slip down the table especially with two tough away games to follow

The atmosphere was the same in the Ground as well before the kick off but once the game started the fans started to get behind the team and I think the Refs awful performance helped as we were not getting anything from him apart from the penalty and that looked as stonewall one that even he could not give

I thought the Ref last week against Burnley was bad but this one was trying his best to outdo him at times

If a sending off has to happen then just before halftime is the perfect time as it obviously gave Warnock time both to sort out the tactics and also gee up the players for the 2nd half

Most fans I spoke to in the Blue and White bar were quite confident that we would and could hang on and that went back to the seats as the noise level increased and QPR seemed far more relaxed then Reading and started to really go for it which we all of course loved to see.

A great goal from Faurlin sent the place wild and even when they scored a screamer to make it 2-1 the noise stayed the same and it was justice that we scored the 3rd goal we thoroughly deserved

Plenty of showboating as well made for a really cracking afternoon at Loftus Rd and a few pints afterwards and an Curry waiting at home made it the perfect day all round
