  • How did hulse play today?

Is HH in the frame to be fit for Tuesday?

  • #2
I thought he had a good game. If HH is not fit he will start on tuesday. Unlucky a couple of times. Missed a sitter but he`ll get us a few goals

He was better -- even Reading fans said he played a good part despite not being able to hit the barn door etc.etc.
Hopefully the goals will come with time.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I thought he played his part.

Seemed to be in the right places at the right times. Obviously still building up his sharpness, having been sidelined for a while.

Unlucky for the sitter - just seemed to drag his foot on the grass and not get enough power on the shot, but it all happened so quickly. Unlucky today, but I have a feeling he'll start to score shortly.
        Be nice to Minty

lot of people where i sit in p block getting on his back but i thought he did have a good game. He wins ALOT of headers and their center half matt mills is a big lad. like all new players he needs a goal and when he does i think he will be a good signing. brings the wide players in alot. No disrespect to the likes of german but a decent replacement HH or vice versa. Having said that patrick ageymang looks a completley different player under warnock.

I would like to think he's not fully fit, but part of me worries that's as good as it's going to get

Hulse did his fair share of a good all round team effort.

What I like about Hulse is that although he is firing a few blanks at the moment he has that canny knack of getting in the right place at the right time.
Put yourself in the right place often enough, which he does well and the goals will surely come.

He probably just needs that first goal and the rest will follow.

Missed a sitter, after a slow start he begain to win headers in the mould of Helguson.

Going to be hard choice when Heidar is fit, because I get the sense Hulse is getting back to full fitness, more matches he plays better he will get.

Read elsewhere we don';t have good strikers, well we are underestimating Mackie, Smith, Hulse and Helguson as most if not all teams in this division would want them and we near enough the top scorers in the division.

                Cannot ask for much more

I had £15 on him as first goalscorer at 6/1

I also had a fiver on QPR to win 3-0!!

difference is, with an out and out goal scorer, some of the draws would of been wins and we would of been still quite a few points in front.
i dont think helguson will get back in this team as long as hulse is fit. neither of them will ever score a goal, but hulse does the knock downs and ball holding better imho.

also did anyone else hear 'darren the qor fan' saying to warnock that he has to start with patrick and smith on the football league show last night. :drunk:

Err hasn't Heider got 4 or 5 already?
As for Hulse i hope the ****head brigade we have at HQ dont make him our new scapegoat. He clearly is not 100% fit but tried hard yesterday and needs the fans to get behind him. When fit he could be a big player for us

yeah think hes scored a couple of penalties.
and when i say 'never score', obviously its tounge in cheek cos even defenders score sometimes, so its obvious they would get one or two from open play in a season.
its just a comedy way of stressing that neither of them are an ian rush, andy cole, ian wright or robbie fowler type of striker.
