  • How POOR was the ref (again...) today?

This is going to sound like another team’s supporter whose side never got a result looking to blame the ref for his side poor performance. WELL my team played superb today, we got a great result against a side that will be there or there a bout’s come the end of the season and WE ONLY HAD 10 MEN!

Well today the ref was absolutely dreadful. Inconsistent decisions all day long and quite possibly one of the worst performances I've seen at HQ in a while - hands down the worst this season! There was a two footed lung at Taarabt about 5 mins before the penalty whereby he missed him which he waved play on too and did he did nothing about (think that was Mills their centre half). Then there was a crunching tackle on Taarabt a few minutes later again by the same player and after he took him out he got up and as he run past Taarabt he kneed him in the head which again the ref played the advantage too only to then book Mills. At that point Mills then ran 10 to 15 yards to confront Taarabt only for Derry to step in and protect Taarabt which then the ref opted to booked Derry only yet only have a brief word with Mills. This then continued with poor decision being given mainly in Readings favour and yet when similar tackles were occurring on QPR players nothing was given. The Orr decision was too a poor one in my book. Far worse occurred during the game, there was no malice, nor was the tackle high or dangerous but the ref gave him a red card to many people’s amazement. How many tackles were there that was dangerous on Taarabt where he was taking the **** out of their players I ask and what was done? What really astounded and summed up what an utter prat the ref was were two occasions fairly late in the second half where he shouted at Kenny to hurry when the ball was being tossed about in the away supporters end by their fans. 3 Points to the R's a great job done on a decent side and it was a shame the officials spoil a very good game of football. Hey hoo and yet they wonder why they get so much stick!

Agree with all of that -- the protection AT got was non-existent. I couldn't believe that the Reading players seemed to be justifying the fouls on the basis that they were finding him hard to handle.

And yes, for me, what really summed that ref up was the fact that he threatened Kenny for time-wasting when the Reading fans were playing volleyball with the ball amongst themselves -- did the ref not see what was happening?
We only had ten men -- amazing that we beat 12 men despite that.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Do both clubs put in match reports about the refereeing?

OH SORRY ALL.... MISSED THIS CLASSIC.

Think it was Brian Howard who was running over towards the corner flag towards the Reading supporters and I think Mackie was chasing him back. Think Howard slipped and Mackie was about 3 yards away from him. He was ranting and waving his hands about for a foul and yet no one was near him. Oh that made me chuckle....

He wasn't great but the linesman on ellerslie road side was shocking....never committed to a decision....always looking at the ref. Yes ref wasn't great but we've had a lot worse!

                      bothered about the ref. not.
thought he was alright, gave us a penalty, and we have had worse this season.
we aint in the prem (yet), and players get away with them niggly tackles that adel was going thru every week in this league.
