The Currant Bun talks about help for heroes every day, the MOvember event that all the media is picking up on is for Help the Heroes as well. I think they are getting as much press as any worthy charity at the moment

Back to the original thread, I am sure anyone who wants to donate to the poppy appeal (like me) has already done so or will be able to do so over the next week (including around the ground on Saturday). I see no problem with the club supporting this BBC run charity. It's (note the apostrophe) not one I particularly subscribe to as I prefer to support my chosen charities, but good luck to them. No doubt I will end up throwing some money in a bucket for them at some point tomorrow.18th August 2011. The day we got our Rangers back

Always a believer that people should contribute to charities they feel closest to. The fact QPR are helping Children in Need is pretty good because we literally on the doorstep of the main BBc studios, more importantly its a worthwhile charity
Wouldn't think it would put anyone off donating to a charity of your own choice. If you open it up to much, you will make even more unhappier.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Wow. What a surprise Hand towel ranger pipes up to have a dig at a fellow qpr supporter who quite rightly is questioning why we cannot support both charities. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Im sure isleworth can speak for himself but lets stop the snide digs especially seeing as both are very worthy causes. Lets also not forget the donations this site makes to qpr charities.

You obviously do not know or care that Remembrance Day is this coming Thursday so surely today's game would have been an ideal opportunity to highlight the Poppy appeal??
The Children in Need event is on the 19th so surely the club could have helped out the next day when we play on the 20th (that's against Preston at Home by the way just to help you out) and if they had done so then I would more than likely donated some change
As I keep telling you,you should really start thinking about posting what you think on matters and not what others spoonfeed you to post on their behalf

By the way its WEIRDO'S.but I'm wondering whether the point he was making was the swapping of the 'i' and 'e', a point that has not been examined in enough detail methinks

I despair at times on this site TBH...
Bearing in mind it's meant to be football related but often descends into petty and immature name calling and points scoring(something our beloved team struggle with at present!!).. and as for worrying about punctuation and grammar.. unbelievable.. some people need to get a grip and a life.. not everyone is well education or gives two hoots to be honest...........

maybe disgrace was the wrong phrase.
I personally think you can't support all charaties, so at some point you choose one. Timing may have meant one is more appropriate, but is it really?
Most charaties are worthy in their own way.
