  • Goal Music - Yay or Nay?

Many are of the opinion that goal music should be reserved for the happy clappy Readings and Fulhams of this world, but somehow pigbag feels 'proper' and a part of Rangers especially seeing as we start it up after an away goal etc

I much prefer Pigbag to Tom Hark or Chelsea Dagger. Makes us a little bit different. (Shame Boro use it).

Look across to another stand next time we score (!), especially the Ellerslie, and it looks like the whole stand is rocking to Pigbag.
It's something which impresses the visitors I occasionally force, whoops, bring with me to LR.

Can't stand pigbag as a tune but its part of the furniture so I voted to keep.

To be honest, it must come naturally because I've not een notivced it recently.

(then again, we've only scored once)

When my Daughter was born Pig Bag was played in the delivery suite as she was being weighed and measured Six and a half years ago . In September she was a mascot and ran out to it Keep it forever

Aren't you normally scoffing pies and quaffing free beer for a lot of the game anyway? You must miss quite a few goals.

This result surprises me. Being the grumpy old fella I am I have to say I really really don't like it and never have. Tis a slippery slope n'all. Celtic seems to have a different song for each goal they score (though I can see playing the theme to bonanza when they put 6 past Rangers may have amused the Park Heed faithful).

I just don't like the attempt at coordination. And it isn't always a cue for party. Sometimes it's dead embarrassing. Pumping it out when we've just clawed a consolation back against Port Vale doesn't lead to a paaaar-tay.

I say keep it, but change it to Montell Jordan's This Is How We Do It.

The lyrics look easy enough to manipilate into our own words.

Goal music is OK,but blaring music for ages before kick-off is rubbish...way back when the grounds used to fill up before one minute to three, chanting and singing and general atmosphere used to build up long before kick-off.mind you,our noise levels have been rubbish this season anyway, despite how well we have been doing.we need to get the noise levels up.

I honestly haven't even noticed Pig Bag for about three seasons now. I must just be used to it...Either that, or the noise levels around me are decent.

I think a marching band should come out onto the pitch and play Pigbag when we score. That would set a trend for others to copy. Think I'll go into The Dragon's Den with that idea and they can mull it over.
