Well, Peter Andre is on and I am bored

    No win here, I know.

I'm going back to first goalscorer for Reading which is now up to £20, as no-one claimed it last week.

I rather enjoyed playing tranmere away, especially that game when jerome thomas absolutely tore them apart, very nice hot dogs as well.

Its a little bit hypocritical to say that something can't really be discussed unless it is backed up with facts when you run a messageboard which thrives on speculation and rumour.

The thing about this one is that there really isn't a great deal to defend or protest about. and yet you have plonked yourself in front of GP's wicket like Chris Tavere on the first session of a test match
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Can I just add Tavare was like a Boycott and very boring.

          I'm more a Botham man.

I ask again for you to read the threads on this post, like I have others.

It hasn't defended anyone. You read, what you want to read.

Peteg, I'd prefer Fulham away in the premiership personally

That really is it from me

I can't be bothered to look back on this subject but I am sure there was something when flav and bernie took over about GP being sorted out with a nice golden handshake if and when we got promoted to the premiership as part of the agreement when the new boys bought the shares
That's exactly what I thought peter "OLD NEWS" as you say gianni would get a nice golden handshake once we gained promotion.

                i back gianni

if gianni does get 500 k bonus if we go up then i say YES ITS OK
the reason why is because when he put 650k into the club there was no mittals, ecklestone or briatorie,so GOD BLESS GI GI

if we go up we get 50 million pound so lets reward the .....INNOVATOR

of course you either love him or hate him,and i can only use my instinct
ive never forgiven him for getting rid of holloway who is my all time favourite
manager, but ..................remember i could be wrong, does any one agree with me..................or should i lay off the speckled hen

Never understood the criticism that came Tavare's way. He was an opening bat. Put in to provide a solid platform and not give away his wicket cheaply. Sure, his run rate was slower than average (but not THAT bad - check Wisden) and by battening down one end, he allowed Gooch a bit of freedom after 20 odd overs. Boycott wasn't dull either - though it could be argued he played for himself, not for the team.

Whilst I've been openly critical of some of GP's transfer dealings, isn't this bonus issue all a storm in a teacup? Whilst we may not agree with the morality of it or the stated sums, it is entirely normal for Directors to receive bonuses when their business does well. In all walks of life.

Chris tavare was Number 3 or lower down the order.

I would imagine if true, probably not a bonus at all. Sure Calliendo would get something written in when the takeover happened and likewise GP.

Would imagine promotion would be worth 60 million plus? and I am sure anyone working or having worked at the club getting us promoted to the premiership, would have some kind of incentive in doing so.

I agree with Nodge70, this issue in particular is a storm in a teacup, but worth discussing all the same. (which we have now to death)

Nah Pete - he was definitely an opener. Gower was consolidated as the No. 3 when Tavare was capped. Tavare opened with a mixture of Boycott and Gooch. Think he may have opened with Broad on a couple of occassions and that really was the dullest opening pair I've ever seen.

Agreed and I see now it is claimed that it was only a question that was posed but was heard on a radio show which no one else heard so basically a load of old tosh just I thought in the first place
