Im not doom and gloom, find me a post i have written that is negative re the football this season, you cant, yet you let donkeys like Rebel Rs wax lyrical about how bad we are blah blah blah.Because my opinion about one person within our club doesnt correlate with yours does not make me a prophet of doom and gloom...far from it

I can't be bothered to look back on this subject but I am sure there was something when flav and bernie took over about GP being sorted out with a nice golden handshake if and when we got promoted to the premiership as part of the agreement when the new boys bought the shares

I thought i'd go straight to the horse's mouth, and ask my pal Paul Finney about this. He tells me that he phrased it as a question on Report's site, as he remembers hearing Gianni himself say this during a radio interview (not Jnet). Apparently it was mentioned along with getting an extended contract. As I asked previously, I cannot understand why, Pete, you leap to Gianni's defence or otherwise at every opportunity. If he has a contract which gives him this bonus, good for him. What will he actually have done to have earned it or whether it is good value are different questions. As an executive of the club he will get questioned, it goes with the territory, I'm certain Gianni is big enough to answer for himself if he feels he has been wronged. I simply wonder why you don't just stick to supporting the team, rather than get sidetracked into supporting any individual board member, although I'm sure that Gianni is delighted to receive your continued backing.

Read over again my posts. It might suit to re-arrange my words but I have not defended anyone. I have simply said, it needs to be backed up and then it can be discussed.

I made references to sausages and womens toilets to lighten the mood.

Again, like you i want success on the pitch and we have the best chance in years to make it to the premiership, not sure fans want a drawn out debate on who gets on what, because believe me after years in the shadows of so called bigger clubs and the only two highlights in last 14-15 years being a Play off final we lost and another which mean't promotion to this league ( don't forget we were in Divsion 1 and maintained our current status in the championship for a number of years) forgive me if getting to the premiership playing the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and manchester United is far more important.

In my opinion if we get to the premiership which we have failed to do for a number years, people at the club deserve to get a bonus of some description.

if we do get promotion, you and I will probably be celebrating at Hammersmith Town Hall or with friends celebrating at last being back in the big time and will forget all about this stuff. I would hope everyone wuld anyway, but thats something I'm even doutbting now.

I just want to enjoy being unbeaten with real prospects of promotion even if its 14 games in and cannot believe at a time when we should all be united behind the team/board, we act as if we are in dark days of administration or worse still going back to playing Tranmere away.

the last person to know what happens if we get promoted to Gianni would be Finney. It is well documented he cannot stand him (hope I am not speaking out of turn, buts its common knowledge), so by posting it, I will take it with a pinch of salt unless of course he has document evidence.

What you seem to be saying here is that because Finney hates Gianni, everything he says about him should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Therefore if we apply this same reasoning, it would be logical to conclude that because of your close friendship with Gianni, everything you say about him should also be taken with a pinch of salt? In other words bias can exist whatever side of the fence youre on.

A close friend is someone I call regularly or see regularly, not someone I speak or see about every 8-10 weeks

I would hazard a guess that a "Sporting Director" would have a clause written in to their contract that would entitle them to bonus payments dependent on the performance of the team. Given that a Sporting Director does have a level of influence in the recruitment of the players that would make any side a success, a contractual bonus payment would not be out of the norm for rewarding major success such as a Cup Win, Play Off spot or Promotion.

Having said that, £500k does seem a very generous award for a non playing/coaching staff member.

Nodge, which "Sporting Director" are you referring to? Gianni is Chairman.

Some of the things written are ludicurous.

End of the day, I care like everyone about QPR and want the best for the club. If I felt people deserved to be ridiculed about where we find ourselves today as a football club, then I would join in.

Simple fact is, all previous boards have found running this club difficult, based simply on the fact we don't have the mass of support other clubs have and you are always juggling with finances because of it. A few years ago, we could have only dreamed of having (yes hes proved a pain) Flavio, Bernie and Lakesmi at the club, any chance we can enjoy it, especially now?
