  • Have You ever Missed The Whole or Part of The Game?

I'm not talking drunk and disorderly, but turned up for a game in QPR history and realised it had been called off or you had the wrong date.

I have booked day early train tickets with no refund, before when getting day wrong.

Lonester drunk and disorderly surely not mate? Drunk yes but don't see you as the instigator of trouble mate
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Many times in the 70's and 80's when days were called off. End up struggling across to see another game in the capital. Fortunately in those days you could more or less turn up and pay at the turnstiles.

Twice last year - Crystal Palace & Watford at home. Also remember sitting on a stuck tube train near Queensway while we drew with Man U 2-2 a few years back.

Missed almost the whole of the 1st half at Cardiff a few years back, due to roadworks. Ray Jones scored the winner after 89mins. 1-0. Missed almost the whole of the first half at Plymouth last year, road works again. We had only just sat down, Helguson scored, and we were up again. It finished 1-1.

Stoke at home on the Sunday live on Sky a couple of seasons ago. I thought it was a 1.30pm kick off. Was in fact a 1.15pm kick off so I missed Leg's 2 goals.

missed 1st half v Milwall a couple of weeks ago because the filth abused anti terrorist laws to keep us penned in a corner of the street "for your own protection"
also got to chelsea away, '86 ithink, to find it snowed off

Me and a load of mates were bored one Saturday and suddenly decided to drive up to stamford bridge at 2pm to watch the R's. Couldn't get into the away end so ended up in the shed. Got there at the start of 2nd half, didn't have to pay and R's scored 2 second half goals, Fillery and Buzby I think!!

Went to Wembley in the 80's Eng vs Bulgaria, match postponed due to fog half an hour before ko, tube strike started at 7pm so had to walk all the way to Baker street! Went back next night though! England won!!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

I was working late shift during those games and had to book a days holiday to go so i was not amused.

Got tanked up on the way to Man U in the Prem once and fell asleep on the train.Woke up just before it reached Scotland.Had to buy a new ticket on the way back as the inspector did not believe me when i told him what happened.

I once missed a game against Wimbledon because someone decided it was a good idea that day to jump in front of a train and, after being stuck, without moving for an hour and a half, the train I was on, was turned back.
