I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Impressive results Benny for a team looking very average. Where are all these goals going to come from? Not meaning this in a nasty way, just wondering.

Average hardly describes a team in second place, still undefeated, with the second highest goals for and an unbelievably good defensive record, does it?

We're just lacking a bit of winning form, not good form as we are still not losing. We deserved all 3 points at Brizzle, and again this week IMHO. We are just not getting the rub of the green at this moment in time, which is unusual for a team at the top as they usually get decissions going their way, just like Baahdiff. Warnocks teams often get penalised, and he's never let it stop him acceiving results and getting the best out of his players.

Some fans, including your good self, slagged the signings of players like Derry and Hill who have proven you wrong, yet there are still ways in which some fans can find a way of knocking us as a team. God only knows what you'd all be saying if we were languishing in 10th-16th place where all the 'average' sides would sit?! I'd hate to think how much the fans would turn if we'd already lost just once this season?!

And no...This isn't a pop at you, nor any other fan who can over react by labeling us as 'average'. Nor is it a dig at those who seem to find any excuse to lambast a side currently sitting in the automatic promotion spot...A million miles from where many of you predicted we'd be.

What I also find sad (and this isn't aimed at you) is the way some posters, ie. Matthew/RebelRs can be happy to start 'I told you so' threads such as 'Anyone still happy with our "unbeaten run"?'
...Well in answer to that...Yes...I'm absolutely over the moon that we've broken a record stretching back to when my Dad wasn't even a twinkle in his fathers eyes.

Honestly...I struggle to find a negative to our start to the season. With pre-season predictions stating we'll be lucky to finish in the top half, let alone top two, I find it truely amazing that there is still ammunition to fire at us. Now all of a sudden, those very same fans are moaning that we're not winning every week. How the hell has that worked out?!

                Unbeaten, and in second.

                Keep it up lads...

Benny very good post and I do understand where you are coming from.

People at work think I am negative regarding the R's and they bring up the fact we are unbeaten and are sitting in 2nd place. However my feeling is different to you regarding sat. I think a draw was a fair reflection because I didn't think neither side deserved 3 points sat. My concern is that if we carry on putting in sub standard performances then we won't stay ahead of the chasing pack. It might sound negative but I hope its more looked upon as realistic. I really want us to find some of that old form. Yes we haven't lost but at home I expect QPR to take a few risks and try and win the game. I am pleased we are 2nd but I guess the players look just as nervous as the fans and thats a worry.

Great post mate, but im sure it will get lost upon those who think we should be on 42 points already.

September should have been that way mate. Although some of those teams were shocking, we did very well out of a month which (on paper) should have been up there with the toughest.

But as the form table goes...This month looks to be a real test, with the exception of Preston.

You watch...That'll be the only game we lose this month now

Myu I know you haven't managed to get to many games of late. Its not been pretty and I hope I am wrong but I think that set of results is being too optimistic.
