From where I sit in the Loft, I see a lot of passion, anger and frustration amongst home fans when booing an opposition player or jeering a bad decision. Many fans who sit motionless and expressionless for the whole game suddenly jump up and vent their displeasure for a split second, then return to their slumber. The whole ground is filled with such supporters.
My qualm with these people is that they need to turn this undoubted passion into positive backing for the team. This doesn't mean that they have to sing and bounce up and down, but surely they could muster some clapping or a 'come on u R's' once in a while?
Also, I'm convinced we have people who turn up almost looking for an excuse to be negative. At one point in yesterdays game, we were top of the league and one nil up. A guy next to me started singing the 'top of the league' song, only for a cardboard cutout in front of him to turn round and sneer 'actually Cardiff are. They are winning blah blah..'. WTF! What do some people want us to do before they get excited?
To be honest, I'm getting very fed up and disillusioned with sections of our home support. In many respects, these 'fans' don't deserve success. I wish they'd go back to where they came from and we got back the hardcore supporters who really do care bout the club.
