I think that Clarke Carlisle should get a lot more credit for us than he does, he and shittu were the main defenders in the side that didnt get beat all season at home. I know we were in the lower league but the playing staff were not exactly the best either.

He also had to deal with a massive problem in his life and has come through it with flying colours.

really nice bloke when not on the sauce. I sponsored his home shirt from the day he signed to the day he left and met him quite a few times at sponsors evenings and such, always went out of his way to spend time with me aand other sponsors and didnt shoot of early like many.

Best defender we have had for many years, I think some forget the horrendous injuries he suffered giving his all for us, especially the secong one after he had come back a bit earlier than he really should have done s we were really struggling at the back at the time.

When he was in rehab he was really grateful for the messages of support sent by rangers fans, yes he left under a bit of a shadow but there was a hell of a lot of **** going on behind the scenes in those days so i will give him a polite clap before willing him to have the worst game of his career tomorrow afternoon.
