I was thinking of going to the Reading away game on Feb 5th.. Was hoping to go over and back in the one day. Heathrow seems to be the nearest airport to Reading but in general flights in to Gatwick are a lot cheaper. Would it be possible to do a day trip using Gatwick and getting to and from Reading by train? The flight over would have you in Gatwick for bout 9am and I think the flight back is not til 10pm

Anyway, I'm pretty sure you can get to Reading direct from Gatwick.. think one of my flatmates did it the other weekend.
Edit: Just checked.. you can do it direct and you can get off-peak return for about £15. Takes an hour and a quarter.

Reading is easy to get to by train grom GW. If you fly to Heathrow (if cheap flights) then it's a very short trip down the M4 if someone can give you a lift - I am sure some people on here are not far from there (assumption)....I live closer to Reading than to London, so can't help out...and I will be drinking that game....so I am useles really.
Hope you get ther ok - one of the best away days of season IMHO.

He's bound to have a bad boy the size of a baby's arm. I doubt we will see many posts from either of you after the match.
