  • Walker in more advanced position?

playing walker and orr down the right?

said it at bristol city.. we should maybe consider playing orr as rightback and walker as right midfield? this was being said due to the fact we was only having success down the right when walker got forward.

althought we have smithy.. i still feel we could accomodate both in a 4-4-2 formation... this would be our plan b? stick hulse/helguson uptop with either mackie or smith and have walker bombing down the right?

Walker as right midfielder sound like a good idea. He is powerful and his long range shots are really dangerous.

I agree he offers alot going forward however I would keep him as a quality attacking right back. The big asset we have when he plays right back is he gives the defence much needed pace. If it wasn't for his pace then Millwall would have scored. Let not change something that isn't broke.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

100% agree but this is more of a plan b.. was hoping at half time NW would have seen the success walker was getting down the right and take hogan off and play walker further forward.

would work well i feel if we was chasing a game.

Yeah I agree against Norwich he caused all sort of problems and I agree if we are at 0-0 it is well worth bringing on Orr and pushing walker further up the field. 100% spot on.

                YEAH

two very good points, hes a quality right back but could also play brilliantly as a midfield player.................so i agree with both points.....which means why do i bother to post anything but its because i get very exited at the thought of hitting these keys.....................OK IM CRAZY

                  Yep.

If our other defenders had pace, then I'd agree with playing Walker further up the pitch, but they aren't the quickest... and he is an insurance policy that we need at the back.

The lack of goals in the last 3 games (3 games - shock, horror!) seems to be a big issue right now, but the shut-outs are the reason we are still top and unbeaten. (sorry to mention that again!)

Part of that is down to Kyle Walker and his pace. And his ability to cover and sweep up around the back if/when we play a higher defensive line.

Have to say, the one thing this team lacks is real pace. All over the park.
