Excellent article as always from Clive.
Not surprised by which supporters on here that didn't agree.
I will from now on try and do this: "But why do I care? I can moderate the message board without really taking in what’s being said and just not respond to this crazy talk. People say things I don’t agree with and that’s their opinion and we’ll never agree so let’s just leave it at that."

All this last year and the year before comparisons as well as expectation nonsense is diverting (on purpose I think) away from the simple fact the the front four are not as effective as they were and we have only scored 3 goals in the last 5 games.
Saying that Birmingham only scored 54 goals when they got promoted two seasons ago isn't nonsense nor diverting anything. It's FACT. Their forwards scored 33 goals between them the likes of Mackie, Taraabt, Helguson and Ephraim have scored 19 between them in just 13 matches.
But if this is nonsense then I don't understand.

sirpiechucker - I can honestly say I was not referring to your stats, I was referring to the posts that were saying stuff like 'before the season started most people would have taking top 6'compared to the football over the football over the last 4 seasons' etc, etc.
And the stat you provided about 19 goals 13 matches is the exact reason the front four need changing as they were working really, really well, but they have not in the last 5 games and nothing suggests they will anytime soon either.

Is it recently?
Or does he just tend to have frequent short spells of absence?
Ah, edit, just found my answer...
Not had a full season since 2004-5 by the looks of it.

Can't be arsed reading all this thread as at a glance it all looks familiar. But on the original point, it is a decent post though I think he is wrong about Tarrabt. He didn't play well at Swansea (I was there too) and he didn't play well against Norwich. Even the armchairs saw Bristol's events. I think he drifted out of the game at Palace as well. Time to use him differently is my viewpoint, not talking about drooping him with no purpose. with Smith and (a fit) Buz at his heels this would be a good thing. Whomsoever is best will get the playing minutes rather than "waiting to see" if Adel will start to produce again. We don't need to do that. I thought that was why we had a squad! Either use him from start and see how it gets on but be prepared to swap him earlier than what is becoming the "norm" of late 60 minutes or ( and my preference) try him coming off the bench for the last 20-30 if we need him. Can't see how any could object to that given his form.
