Read the post properly before spouting your usual b ollox Jeff, my thread was aimed at our 2 centre halves not having pace between them. That is what is worrying me. I have never been convinced that Connolly and Gorkks are an ideal pairing but yes that staement does look silly when we have only conceded 4 goals all season but i do think at some point we will suffer for it. I dont expect us to have the best defenders midfielders and strikers in the league and i am absolutly chuffed at our start to the season, there are a million more positives than negatives but if i am allowed to voice a concerrn then there it is.

        In fairness:-

Paddy Kenny is the guy who can take the credit for the clean sheets.

He's made some blinding saves (including a penalty). Also I seem to remember Clint Hill with a couple of goal-line clearances and Matt Connolly with one.

You could argue that if he had decent centre halves he would not even be in a position to have to make the saves. I'm playing devil's advocate here, but he has been phenomenal between the sticks.

Dont disagree, Kenny has been superb, but the defence works as a unit, and must ALL be credited with the glory.

If Gorrks and COnnolly had pace they wouldnt even be here, they would be premiership.

          We cant have it all!!

            Agree.

I'd go one further and say that the likes of Derry, Mackie, Faurlin and Ephraim can also take some credit due to the defensive work they are doing upfield.

Ephraim has also cleared two certain oppo goals off the line.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

As a side there are weaknesses that should worry us; the defence is not one of them.
