  • Tommy Smith?

What happens to him if Pompey are liquidated?
If his contract with them evaporates, presumably the loan deal with us will too?
Does that make him a free agent who can sign for us on a perm immediately, or will he go into the pool of Portsmouth's assets which the people responsible for disposal of assets then get the highest price for?
    Anyone have an idea?

I hope the whole situation doesn't impact on us badly in respect of Smith.

Interesting point, no one wants to see a Football Club go under, but at least Cardiff would have their 3 points taken away from them for when they beat them.
Good for us really what with our current form, who's to say how we'd do in Portsmouth.

If they do go under we'd be even further in front.
Better to have the points than the pressure that comes with knowing you have to win your game in hand.

But it would be very sad to see them fold -- even though, on our current form, we may not get all three points against them.

They will not fold, it is just scaremongering to get the exit dealk done. Whilst I don't want Pompey to go fully, they do not deserve to reduce the debt they created by 80% and end up better positioned than most other clubs due to the parachute payments.... it is quite simply a farce !

He would be a free agent so we could then sign him for nothing!
