we're spending within our means. Look at man city, when their owners leave (like they all do), they will be well and truly up the preverbial creak. Us on the other hand have spent wisely and not excessively....we're being run like a business. I completely agree with that.

For the millionth time and about the 50th time i have posted this thread in the past 2 years,we need a Quality striker,otherwise forget about promotion,And once again this is not based on tonights performance alone but on the past 5 games where we have lacked up front in eash game.

The first two have been regulars on the bench.....I think it's highly unlikely they'd sacrifice that to come to play for us. This is ignoring the fact that they're both in their teams premiership squads and obviously view them as back up for first team.

Andrew Johnson....been injured for ages, just coming back. Highly unlikely that Fulham would even consider letting him go. Especially as Zamora is injured I believe??

Gudjohnson...even if we would be willing to pay his no doubt ridiculous wage demands, he's never going to play championship football

We don't have messi or ibrahimovic.

We have Helguson, Agyemang and returning from injury Hulse and Clarke....

Hardly strikes fear into opposition does it. Helguson has been brilliant but a top forward would of scored a lot more with the chances hes had.
