Dropping Taarabt?

IMO best player at the club should never be dropped. he could do nothing for 89 mins but 1 min of brilliance could win a game.
Look at Torres he is a joke at the moment, dont look like a footballer, but you dont drop one of the best strikers in the world as they will pop up with something.
(not saying Adel is as good as torres, just a example)@chrisrobson9

Good win on sat robson.
Have you been in the gym, recent pics you look like a big strong target man now.
Similar to Grant Holt for Norwich he is a big man that is a handfulI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I can't even believe this poll. The Championships "Cantona" and you want him dropped for a slightly off day??
Amazing. Utterly stupid. We are TOP - much thanks to him.
If players got dropped for an off day - we may have missed out on all the greats...... Best would have lasted 5 minutes, Maradonna dropped after Espana 82, Euro 96 people screaming for Shearer to be axed because he hadn't scored for a few games.....Seaman dropped some howlers....wasn’t he one of our greats??
Zidanne – Fergie thought he wasn’t that much, so they missed out. Flair players will blow hot and cold, by the nature of their play – they need the whole team to click o show their magic sometimes.Last edited by silvercue; 17-10-2010, 09:01 PM.

Do you think / would you think dropping him for a game or 2 to the bench would help spur him on to get his form & hunger back or would it have an adverse affect on the team as a whole?
I voted no in the hope he gets back to what he does best.I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

FFS why bother signing someone like him if you want him to play safe like all the other players, sure he is frustrating some times but he has loads of assists this year and he gets you off your seat. Who would you put on in his place?, i thought he had a good game on Sat plus hes only 21.

Its a message board people have varied opinions as you will see from the poll not everyone will agree with you & I.
Its good to gauge people's opinions on team matters.
For the record if you read the very first post I voted no as I believe he is our number 1 danger man & the 1 player who can turn a game on its head. Yes I'd like him to make a simple pass at times rather than trying to bamboozle players... But dropped? No way.

Ric Roc you don't need to explain yourself, we realised silvercue should be treated like dester4england when he said adel is the cantona of the championship. Cantona was a world class striker but anyway... why let similarites get involved?I played sunday league football today.
