  • Dropping Taarabt?

Quite a few supporters on here & in the ground today seem to be getting very fed up with Adel Taarabt's loss of form & possible greediness creeping back into his game.

I have always maintained he is by far & away our most technically gifted, creative player but today Taarabt's distribution was woeful once again.

Do you think / would you think dropping him for a game or 2 to the bench would help spur him on to get his form & hunger back or would it have an adverse affect on the team as a whole?

I voted no in the hope he gets back to what he does best.

I think your right mate. He needs to remember their is 10 other guys out there that can help him when he has the ball though that's the problem.

Anyone who thinks he should be dropped clearly doesn't know anything about football, some of the things he tried today didn't come off but today he still embarresed his man quite a few times and some of the through ablls he played showed great vision they just didn't come off, he's got 7 assists (the highest in the league) and a couple of goals and people want to drop him!

I would play him against swansea and bring back faurlin, however he was dreadful today lets not kid ourselves. I think he has gone to the how to pass a ball school run by legsofwood. Walker looked and is a different class to the rest of our team. I can't see him staying beyond jan if he keeps that kind of form up. Clint was giving far to many free kicks away in dangerous areas for no reason. Well done Gorkks and connors, thank god we have quality centre backs.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Anyone should watch the game again who thinks we should drop Tarrabt. Any chance we created in the first half was created by him, one or two passes were world class.

What he needs to do is get his head up when we don't score from them and lead by example. He tends to start well and only maintains a very good level if we go ahead in games.

He should not be club captain in my view, though guess its a token gesture with a couple of leaders actually on the pitch

He could be rested for Swansea but for fitness and wear and tear reasons only. next Saturday he can come back.

                  EDIT: I meant Bristol

When the tricks and such aare not coming off just concentrate on keeping the ball instead of trying it over and over and losing possession, hopefully when Faurlin is back he wont feel the need to do it all himself.

As for being captain i think we all know its more of a gesture than anything else,Shaun Derry's The Guv'nor.

That is the most important thing. Was the same against Millwall.

Defo don't want him dropped though & 99.9% sure he wouldn't because he has it in his locker to pull out a bit of magic. We live to fight another day.

we cant afford to drop him, we need the 25 million from one of the many premiership clubs who are after him and when he considers his future in january.

The key is to keep the ball if theres nothing on keep it simple find Derry with a five yarder you dont always need a stepover.Think we would of retained possession better if Rowlands was an option yesterday instead of Leigertwood.

cant believe so many people are banking on rowlands, hes a backwards step imho.
