Now shoot me down in flames if I'm wrong GTP, BUT

I get the feeling you didn't like Adel long before this interview. And you were just waiting for him to shoot himself in the foot (which he has), so you could vent your spleen about him.

It could have been another show of petulance on the pitch, or throwing his shirt at the bench when subbed, or taking on another opponent rather than making a key pass, or just missing a penalty.
Anything that would justify your view of him.

I'm not criticising you, you have every right to express your view, free speech and all that.
But I do hope we don't find ourselves discussing on Saturday night why we lost our unbeaten record and there being any suggestion that fans turning on our playmaker being to blame.
        Or on Wednesday after Swansea.

If Bubble burst that will be one less Big Brother Contestant/Chelsea Fan to worry about, so no, not bothered at all.

you are correct mate, i didnt like the player as a person, and to be totally honest i wasnt over the moon when he came here on a 3 year permanant deal mwhen it was obvious he really didnt want to join our lowly club.
but i want qpr to do well cos its our time now, so i was happy a good player was joining and would be an asset to our fight for the premiership, and i have been over the moon with some of his motm performances.
ive never booed a player in my life (called them a few names tho i must admit) and im not about to start now, but i seriously have got no time for adel taraabt.
he didnt want to sign but cos no-one else wanted him, he had to come to us, and then he says he will consider wether he stays or goes in january cos of some rubbish rumour is the last straw for me. he didnt want to come and now is talking about leaving 4 months later, why cant people see its disrespectful to all of us who pay to watch him. im astounded at the amount of people who aint peed off.
i will still watch him and if he scores again this season before he goes to barca/newcastle in jan, of course i will cheer, cos its a rangers goal, but i wont be telling un-qpr people hes a brilliant player and the best in the championship, cos quite frankly he isnt. he isnt even the best player in our team.
oh and and his attitude really stinks.

I'm afraid that to a great extent I agree with with this particular posting. In his early days as a loanee,Taarabt was the surprise package and a breath of fresh air,but he quickley alienated himself with a number of fans by his constant show-boating,which was all well and good for a laugh when your team is 4-0 up,but not at crucial stages of a keenly fought match.

His attitude, workrate and ethic improved considerably in the first couple of games immediately following him being granted the captaincy by NW,but I have to say that of late he has started to go back to his old habits which to me does not make him a team player in the mould of say Derry,Faurlin,Mackie etc. He's a "legend in his mind" and I'm worried that a leopard doesn't change his spots and we will tend to disagree with the plusses and minuses of Mr.Taarabt.

The bubble will burst as I think are lucky to have picked up as many points as we have so far. But I still feel confident that we are good enough for automatic promotion.

Not nervous at all. This season reminds me of 82/83 season where we swept away all before us. Also, 2nd place team goes up too - it'd be nice but we don't realy need 100+ points; Stoke went up with a pretty poor tally/record in 2nd place a couple of yrs ago. I'd hope that after we beat Norwich majority of people will stop cacking it before virtually every game, start puffing their chests out and display total confidence in our promotion charge.

Fair play for your honesty GTP.

Whilst we're putting cards on the table, for me, I like him. But not in a blinkered way.

On his day, he's probably our most exciting, talented and dangerous players. With ability to score superb goals (Preston) or set up others with sublime passes (S****horpe, Middlesboro). His tricks (when they work) are worth the entrance money alone. And in general, he has produced more and been less selfish this season.
Not just, my thoughts, but many others, QPR fans or not. How many other teams fans have singled him out as the man to watch out for ? Or stop if they want to beat us ? And then there's his award for August, hopefully the 1st of many, but it shows the regard in which he is held within the game.

However, on the down side. He is still prone to the odd bout of throwing toys out of his pram (demanding to be subbed or moaning when he is subbed), arrogance (throwing his hands up when it's not going his way or saying naive things in TV interviews).
One things for sure - it's never dull when he's playing.

It's also fair to say he's not been as effective last 4 games. I'm not sure if this is to do with other teams man marking him better, or the lack of Faurlin in the team which free's him up, or BOTH ?
But I trust NW to get the best out of him, long term. It will be interesting to see how he copes this season with our Winter and trips to Scunny, Donny, etc.
As Warnock said earlier this season, he can kick as many bottles and have as many hissy fits as he likes when I sub him, as long as he's produced on the pitch beforehand.

But it's a win / win for QPR. If he maintain his team spirit on the pitch, where it matters and helps us stay on course for promotion, great.
But if he (and WE) fade, or he starts to upset the Team spirit, unsettle his colleagues, then we sell him, make £3m profit and use it to get 2 players in who will be adequate cover / replacements.

My biggest concern is with making him Captain and others hearing comments like he made this week. Perhaps he's not ready or right for that role yet ?

I've seen us promise so much in the past, and fail to deliver long term most of the time. We never do things easy and to bring this debate back to the original thread - After 40 years of Support, and the memories of '76, '77, '82, '83, '86, '04. I know only too well, we are more than capable of shooting ourselves in the foot.
And with the Circus / Soap Opera that has been around us for the last 10 years, YES, I constantly expect our bubble to burst, and as every game passes without defeat, I take 1 more breath of relief.
