  • Watching sheff wed on sky and...

I think Warnock has been brilliant in bringing in new players but the only player that you have to have a question mark over is Clarke. I know he did call it a gamble but it even looks like Dave is 1st choice over him. Anyway back to the game I am watching, I know its against poor opposition but I think Morrison looks like a real handful and I think we should of signed him for free over clarke. He is really strong and causing the chesterfield defence all kinds of problems. I think he would of been even better as an impact player on the bench. Anyway I can't fault sir neil so I won't go on.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think we all new Clarke was Pony, Didnt expect HH to perform the level he was at either so I guess it all levels out. Still think we may need another striker come xmas to seal promotion.

yeah I agree. I think Helguson has been 1st class and hulse will be a big plus. I know we tend to only play 1 upfront but I think we need 1 other possibly 2. I just think it would be nice to have the option where we played 4 4 2 when things aren't going well.

We need to mix it up and Warnock does do that when things arent going his way, so 442 with a class striker would bode well. Esecially if Mallaya buys in we should have some clout come mid season.

Only problem is that Clarke is injured - and played with the same injury on the odd occassion he has turned out for us. I say wait until he is fit and see if he gets in ahead of Pat then, once he has played a few games 100% fit I will judge him and Neil's gamble, until then I will reserve Judgment.

Bit unfair regarding Clarke. He hasn't been properly fit since he joined us. Totally agree with Bluehoop on this one. Until I've seen him for at least 5 games I won't knock the fella.

Giles Coke played in this game former QPR youth, looked a good player, worth keeping an eye on?

What injury has Clarke got? I liked the look of him when he played for Wednesday at LR last season and still think he'll work out for us. Can see NW using him in one of the wide positions offering something different.
