i wouldnt ban them pete, they obviously got something against you and you do take it on the chin well, so banning them doesnt really do much, cos you come across fine by not letting it get to you and answering and standing your corner when you have to.
peopel that run or moderate message boards are ALWAYS going to have certain posters who dont like them. goes with the territotory.
oh and the reson this forum pi ss es all over the others from a great height is cos of the banter and more relaxed atmosphere.

Exactly G.T.P., I don't agree with W12 on this occasion and I agree with terryball rarely, but I don't think a ban was in order. You are just as bad as them Pete, you've posted some pretty obviously trolling threads this week to try and stir things up. Why ban the people you've managed to do that to?

As the mother of someone who makes use of the audio commentary, can I say it's not the same as ordinary commentating, because so much more needs to go into the description, especially if the person is totally blind, as they have no concept of colour, the pitch markings etc.

It's not an easy job and we are grateful to Pete and the others who are willing to do it -- it has enhanced Josie's matchday experience 1000-fold.
Allowing them a free pass into the press box is scant reward for such a valuable and apprciated service -- it is beyond price.

And so what if Pete did or didn't have a season ticket beforehand? Does it matter? What would you critics prefer? That the whole audio commentary service were scrapped for fear of people -- God forbid -- getting in on a "freebie" in order to do it? I would have one VERY unhappy daughter if you did.


For goodness' sake, grow up, enjoy the fact that we are 6 points clear at the top, and be grateful that you can see the match for yourself without needing the service of Pete and the other commentators.

I see no reason as person I should tolerate it. I think this site is the only one which we pay for on a monthly basis and for that reason its my prerogative who I have on it.

Its gone on for far too long, many of the other boards you mention banned people long ago for far less. I only ask that everyone respects each other, wea re all going to have different opinions, two people just kept undermining that and got personal

That's absolutely fine, but on the other hand, you locked the ticket pricing thread once Olga Paladini was mentioned. Differing opinions, not personal and not undermining anyone.

This is not a personal pop but the site and the mods really need to sit down and work out a code of conduct that will be clear, transparent and equitably applied. At the moment, there's knee jerk banning, locking, hypocrisy to suit personal agendas etc etc...that sometimes makes this a difficult place when it shouldn't be. Fair enough if you are personally "irritated" by someone raking over old coals or criticising a personal friend in GP. BUT, GP is a senior ranking official of the Club, ANYONE in his position is fair game due solely to the nature of the role and NOT due to any personal vendetta, as is their family IF, they are drawing Club funds. Thicker skins all round required........
