Closing threads when it suits (Regarding ticket prices)

Reasonable debate generated on the pricing thread below but it is now closed,

Pete the main thrust of the thread was financial, the suggestion was should prices increase to generate more revenue now we are doing well. Someone mentioned part of the clubs expenses, I think that was a reasonable part of the debate because there is more than one way to improve the clubs finances,

I think you will find that the points made will be shown to be accurate despite you rubbishing them out of hand.

how is it that one the one hand you claim no intimate knowledge of what happens within the club and yet on the other you shout down suggestions by people as rubbish as if you are the CEO of the club himself with all the facts to hand

Once again you close a thread willy nilly when the debate gets away from the way you wanted to steer it, I really dont think you get the idea of messageboards at all :(

there are certain things on this messageboard that Pete doesnt want us to talk about and if we do he will close threads and move them...always been that way. He is still Paladini's creature after all and does his best to protect the imbecile as friends should. Heard the same thing about Paladini's missus getting paid AGAIN for non existent consultancy.....you can only go so far when trying to protect crooks like Paladini.

Shame - as the pricing debate was a good, valid reasonably intelligent discussion.

However, you cannot simply dismiss the Olga Paladini stuff as this is pertinent to the "cost and pricing" debate IMO and there were not any personal digs or abuse going on either.

Pete needs to count to 10 and walk away. If this is a truly independent board for the broad church of QPR fans and not funded by QPR or its senior personnel, it needs to be moderated as such.

I know Pete and MYU run the board but it's grown and is used by supporters with a range of views. Once you've released the beast, you can't put it back in its cage to suit.

Nodge 70 it was a very good debate, but ultmately desecdended into farce. Season ticket prices and increased prices are valid discussions considering the progression the team is making on the pitch, but when it goes into someone taking a wage that left years ago and basing that on something that happened last season to validate any arguments, which has nothing to do with the orginal decision is pretty pointless

Why are you the one to decide when a debate has become farsical? Dont you think the majority of people that post on here and read the posts are able to make up their own mind about what is farsical and what is reasonable debate.

I simply made the point about whether the club should/would rise prices, it was then twisted that in some way I was orchestrating some kind of feedback for the club, which cannot be further from the truth. (even that plain speaking answer will get twisted). Its very unlikely now I can discuss anything outside of the footballing side of things, as people will jump on it. Lets say example i say about a fans forum (EXAMPLE), then automatically its misunderstood for me getting feedback for the club. Best to let other people ask questions outside what happens on the pitch

What I actually was trying to do was be a realist and at some point prices would be discussed, hands up I was the wrong person to ask the question.

As for where the subject led to, it was nothing to do with the original subject.

The thing is thats how threads work, just like debates, conversations and arguments in real life, you start with one thing and sometimes end up somewhere else, that should not be a reason to close a thread.

There are countless examples on this very site where threads go off original topic but they haven't been closed down have they, your argument about it descending into farce doesn't stand up, if the argument is ridiculous then let the poster be ridiculed by other posters rather than shutting down the thread. my last word on it though as we are clearly never going to agree on this and i can't win because its your board as you state elsewhere.
