I can remember being at LR in the 90's when we had over 18K for City in the cup and 16K two weeks later in the league so keep City on the 'sell-out' list. All London derbies will be sell-outs too.22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

People have shown their distaste for flabio & co by staying away this season and last. By February we will have almost full houses as promotion becomes close. Believe me in the premiership people will want to see us play the likes of Man U etc. We waited a long time for decent fixtures and we will sell out regardless of price. We'll get 10k season tickets, the remainder of seats have to be available for cash sale and/or on the day under league rules so demand will outstretch supply for home fans. Can't wait to be honest.

dont matter how we are doing, we have a core support and thats it.
we are a very poorly supported club, and considered quite unfashionable as well, which doesnt bother us does it?
so 14500 will always be our average in the prem except against the likes of man u and some london clubs imho.
If we go up we will sell out our small ground every week because its now cool to go to 'The Match' every week and genuine QPR fans will miss out because hooray henrys who cant get in Fulham or Chelsea will not only come to QPR they will buy season tickets. Mark my words

the only game you can garuntee to sell out would be man united, cos they fill it up, not us.
let every team have up and downstairs at every game, we wont need either.

GTP - I can kind of see where you are coming from but I agree with other posters that your arguement is fundamentally flawed in terms of time.
Football is once again a marketable "industry" and popular with the masses again.
Back in the late 80's and early 90's we were in recessionary times (whoops - same again now!) and football was not popular save for a blip after Italia 90.
Teams like Birmingham, Everton etc ALWAYS have good away followings which are swelled in London by exiles from those City's - these games would have BIG attendances. Only one's we'd struggle for would be Wigan etc.
You underestimate the level of floating R's support --- there was a little thing called The Play Off Final which showed just how many people would pop along to big games for the R's.
All purely hypothetical at the moment what with less than a quarter of the season gone --- don't forget we were wiping the floor with all before us last October / early November and look how last season finished.
Let's revisit this one in May when hopefully the queue for NEW season ticket holders will be round the block!I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.
