Never heard the term 'Joe Daki'?

I've heard a few people to reffer to Asians as 'Joey's', so not that pathetic at all mate.

Please note, this wasn't to cause offence. I know how touchy some can get on here. I was just pointing out that I have heard this used in a racist tone.
I lived in Hounslow for 27 years and never once heard that as a term of abuse.

It's defiantly out there mate. I assure you I didn't just pluck it out of thin air.

Yup definate racial term. Hear it all the time round here (Ruislip way). I'm 25 and I had to google joey deacon. Then i found a nifty online racing game starring him but besides the point. I interpretted it as quite a witty pun on a mixture of baby kangaroo and joe gallen.

But surely not in common parlance.

You're looking at the linguistic skills and quick mind of a Stephen Fry to be able to utilise that in day to day abuse at Riley's snooker hall. And believe me, the residents of TW3 aren't that quick and with the best will in the world, I don't think Rowan Vine is either!

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be either racist or take the Mick out of the disabled. It's something that has certainly been blown out of proportion.

I have no real issues with Jones, but I think he's been bang out of order to Rowan with these public allegations. He's done it to a 'friend' recently with his accusations of people on this site. People need to think before they make such accusations as they can be very detrimental to others reputations.

Rowan does come across with a bad attitude at times, but I firmly believe this is not the type if person he is.

nodge, joe daki is even used in the football factory film, very common term IMO. Please dont take that as it reads as in ooh its in a film which makes it gospel, just trying to show common the phrase is mate

if you read what he said it is also said as "joey's" to mean it in the racial way that is exactly what it would mean round my age group of 25 and under in my area anyway

the joey comment clearly is reference to a young joey(kangaroo). anybody else reads that any other way is abit nieve.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                              Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I think the term "joey" was mean't to be youngsters.

Though it does sound a derogatory term and if I was a young player trying to build a career at the club, would feel quite offended by it
