If categorisation was to gain acceptance or support I would think the graduation to "C" ought to be a quite significant discount. As it is surely telling us we are getting a vastly inferior "product" for the price. I wouldn't support it myself.

On a related topic, the Palace programme was interesting in the deals they were offering up (something Rangers could learn from I think). For example, the Membership Scheme was more expensive up front but included a bigger match day discount and a couple of complimentary tickets. And whereas Rangers now do sell "bundles" of tickets to discount games (in a sort-of mini-season ticket way) , the way Rangers do it is by wrapping some unpopular games in a fixed Bundle with very popular ones (last year they were touting the Newcastle game from almost the beginning of the season). Palace offered a deal which gave one level of discount if you book six games in advance (your choice) and another one if you book 12 (again your choice of fixtures). That seems to me both much fairer and even better for the club. It will entice people who can't (for whatever reason) make all games so a season ticket is not worthwhile to nonetheless go to more than they otherwise might. And make it cheaper for the fan. Win win.

Looking at the home games from February onwards, I can see three possible sell outs. Ipswich if they are still in the play-off's, Palace for their relegation battle and Derby or Hull City, as I think those games is where promotion will be guaranteed.

      Portsmouth
      Forest
      Ipswich
      Leicester City
      Crystal Palace
      Sheffield Utd
      Derby
      Hull City
      Leeds Utd

If they want sell outs, away fans need to sit in the west paddock and the entire school end needs to be opened to QPR Fans.

Leeds will be a sell out especially if we are going up or even presented with a trophy.. Also they may be around the playoffs and Leeds will bring a few down no doubt.
So I would make that 4 sell outs possible.

only sell out will be the game they hand us the championship trophy or the last ever party game in the championship if we are second imho.
cos if we cant sell out against london clubs or big sides like boro after the best run in any of our lifetimes, then we never will.

What are fans feeling about the cost to watch Rangers now we are 6 points clear at the top of the championship?
Why even start this thread, haven't we paid enough already since the takeover?

Yes Pete, I am sure they already have their calculators out regarding pricing for next season.

Its a slightly depressing thought because they will probably get it wrong season, perhaps you can put it out for debate on the pre match show as i would hope someone at the club analyses that after the fact
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

I am not speaking on behalf of anyone at the club, you should know that. Ultimmately whether we like it or not, the club are a business and if I was running it, would be looking at maximising revenue on various arears at a time where in January we probably need to spend another few million and latter part of season demand will be high.

Think its a fair question to ask
Is there not something in place that stops clubs adjusting their prices during the season?

Bloody hell Pete are you for real. we are all about to go into double dip recession. People are losing jobs all over the place the next 2 years are going to be a nightmare regarding disposable incomes. Paying more for Football in this climate is a no no for so many people. I wonder how many season tickets we would sell if we go up?? We still can only sell just over 7000 now.

I think there is as we found out when we tried to do something similar a couple of seasons ago.......

Bloody daft question if you ask me, perhaps the rarefied atmosphere up there in the Press box is having an effect on someone......

Not sure its a daft question to be honest kat.ha

It might be an uncomfortable question, most have answered in a sensible way.

I presume it might get twisted by some, if you read through the post its something that I have not advocated to change, but its inevitable in the next 6-9 months the club will look it, if we continue this rich of vein of form. The question should not be taken out of context.

So if they are thinking of introducing this, surly they wont risk pharking up all the goodwill the fans have been showing this season, plus any change in pricing would it not be good pr to discuss with fans or reps.
