  • Shoud Club Reintroduce Category A Games, Or Keep It The Same?

I know its a delicate subject, but most did not flinch paying £30 (most with added booking fee) at Crystal Palace and they have to do it all season for mediocre matches with a club at the foot of the table, yet now we have aspirations of promotion.

What are fans feeling about the cost to watch Rangers now we are 6 points clear at the top of the championship?

    No Pete.

Why punish the fans for supporting their club?
The atmousphere and feel-good-factor is great within the club now, and this will only spoil it.

I don't get the need to even ask this question, because as a fan, you shouldn't want this to be happening either.

For me QPR being top does not change anything. I cant afford a season ticket so i dont get one. If i can afford to go and watch Rangers on a given saturday i'll go whether we are top of the league or bottom of the conference.
I paid 30 quid to go to Palace saturday because i had a few bob and was due a day out with my mates so we chose the Palace game.
Ultimatly though in my opinion, football will eventually price the average man in the street out of going and the snopwball effect will begin.

Pete you have obviously been asked to feel out the fans on this one.

            AWFUL IDEA.

It's a ridiculous question to ask.

Right lads, if I make this pub look a bit nicer with a layer of paint, would you be happy for me to put my prices up to £5 per pint?

If and when we go up, then it'll no doubt happen. No one will want it, but fans will still pay it as the football will be a far better quality.

                Benny,

I am not speaking on behalf of anyone at the club, you should know that. Ultimmately whether we like it or not, the club are a business and if I was running it, would be looking at maximising revenue on various arears at a time where in January we probably need to spend another few million and latter part of season demand will be high.

Think its a fair question to ask

Where have I accused you of that?
                        Guilty concience?

Pete, as a business, the happiness of your customers should always take priority. It's taken a while, even whilst we're playing well to entice the fans back. This in itself has largely increased the income of the club, and you think (as a businessman) that a bit of greed and lack of thought to your customers who are still hurting from a reccession, will keep the same level of punters coming throught the door?

I'm glad you don't run my business.

And you'll be replaced by the Johnny-come-latleys mate. If season tickets go up to £7-800 a shot, I'm with you, and at £50 per game, I'll pick the main ones, just as many will. It's down to what you can afford, but there are plenty out there who will pay.

The club should re-introduce the Category A, B & C fixtures & restricted view prices (20% discount on match day prices)

                            BUT

only at the expense of dropping the ridiculous Gold, Silver, Bronze areas. A combination of both is unmanageable and would be a nightmare to both administrate and communicate.

Thus - everyone pays the going rate for the better games rather than the price apartheid suffered nowadays.

                            I'm only a phone call away conners/Ali.....

Guess thats why you don't run one

Whether we like it or not a team like Palace charged us £30 plus, Watford will up the price for our game and I suspect many other clubs will do the same.

Again, will re-iterate I am not advocating it, but I can see why they would do it
