I think we have a better squad than Blackpool and I don't need to say anymore than that. Keep those mentioned & buy 5 BIG players & it gives you a fighting chance imo.

gorkks as good as he is in championship is not a prem defender. teams wont try aerial bombardment.. so he would be knackered.

with our squad now. id say we'd survive relegation but it would be close.

helguson and hulse would both do a job in prem. but age is against them.

fitz hall with the ball is fine but without he isnt.

cant comment on orr but looks good.

buzsaky behind striker is fine for prem but not in CM. our midfield would require a few purchases. derry, rowlands, cook and hill would be too slow. leigertwood must learn to pass to a blue n white shirt to be counted as champ quality! so shocked with him recently. he was never this bad!

basically the prem is a huge step up. yes we'd make games competitve but we'd lose more than we'd win.

buying means dropping others who were battling the whole season with a stupid salary, I find it unfair towards them. why buy expensive pseudo players who wants us only if we are premiere league? we should play our players who played in the championship jungle, they are good enough to maintain us many years. I think you missed a number off before the 5 million Pete, any number would do but a number has surely been missed off.

We are currently not as good as Wigan, Stoke, Wolves Bolton, Fulham, Birmingham etc, these guys are the bottom feeders in the prem and have spent millions too achieve the status of bottom feeders.

Guys, we are looking at 1-11 being replaced within two years of prem football, if we are promoted.

Just to stay up first year and achieve mid-table, well that will cost millions!

Sunderland have spent how much? 60m? and are still not guaranteed premiership survival. West Ham? I shudder to think how much they've spent. I remember O'Sullivan when at Birmingham (and this is going back at least five years) being asked "what does it take to stay in the premier league?" and he replied "40 million".

I'm sorry Pete you are a good guy and I love the site but £5m is laughable. Hope the people running the club are a bit more switched on.
