Newcastle United has earm been linked with a move for Qpr playmaker Adel Taarabt as Chris Hughton looks to bring in new attacking options as well as having to deal with the loss of Hatem Ben Arfa with what looks to be a serious leg break following a horrendous challenge from Man City midfielder Nigel De Jong.
Former Tottenham man Taarabt has been a huge success at Loftus Road and has become something of a cult hero at the west London side but he may well be tempted by a swift return to the top tier in January even though his side are running away at the top of the Championship.
Hughton was apparently greatly impressed by the Moroccan during encounters between Newcastle United and Qpr last term and is now interested in luring the talented youngster to St James’ Park despite the fact that he only arrived at the club on a permanent deal in the summer.
Taarabt cost just £600k to bring from White Hart Lane although that fee could rise to £1m and the Magpies could be ready to offer as much as £4m as they look to tempt the former Lens man into moving to the north-east in January.
